When People Treat Others Like THEY Never Failed!

Sometimes the behavior of the human species can be a bit baffling. In particular, when people choose to react to something that happened in their world by behaving badly.

I have watched this happen with struggling businesses, with crypto projects and more.

Some genuinely well-intentioned business/individual makes a small misstep that leads to a bit of a setback. They step up and explain what happened, and what they are doing to set things right.

Nobody's ducking and running, or shirking accountability and taking ownership of the situation.

Most people are understanding and take action as they best see fit... but invariably there are a few who take it upon themselves to immediately start name calling and badmouthing the operation for not being flawless, at all times.

They may even have been given explicit suggestions on how to recover 90% of their investment, but instead they insist on "liquidating immediately" for cents on the dollar, and then blaming the project operator for "having to" do that... even though they didn't have to do that.

Whereas I can appreciate a measure of frustration when something doesn't turn out well, what universe are they living in, in which nothing ever goes wrong? Moreover, are they so "precious" that they have never made a mistake, themselves?

Some get all puffed up and start throwing "Well, if I had been in charge, this and that wouldn't have happened and blah, blah, blah..."

Yeah, but you weren't in charge, and you would never be caught anywhere near a situation where you'd have to be accountable for the outcome of anything! Chances are you've never "run" anything, in your entire life.

I suppose it is just one of the sad aspects of some people's lives that they don't feel good about themselves unless they can belittle and/or take other people to task for the slightest transgression against their sense of reality. Or what "should" be reality.

I guess this sort of behavior bothers me, hence the mini-rant!

Thanks for coming to visit, and do leave a comment if you feel so inclined!
