Tu Potencial No Conocido (Spa-Eng)

Tu poder no conocido

En mi caso, paso a paso he despertado.

ENGLISH VERSION

Your unknown power

The title of this post came out one day when I was talking to some friends, each one talking about their own things and the rest supporting or denying or bringing something new to the topic of conversation. On this occasion the topic of salaries and what things cost came up, and that's where the topic developed.

It is no secret that salaries in Venezuela are embarrassing. Imagine trying to live on $2 a month, with a basic basket of about $400.

Because of this companies "support" the employee by giving them bonuses to compensate for the minimum wage, which can be $100 or more, but such bonuses are not enough and are not counted for their social benefits either.

And this situation becomes a rat's wheel, that no matter how hard you work the result will always be the same.

For example, my niece, who is a teacher, earns approximately $15 a month and that gives her enough for a week's food or to pay or pay off some debt, and for the rest of the month, the daughter is the one who contributes because she has no other income since she does nothing else to generate it. And this is repeated in many Venezuelan households.

And thinking about all this, my friends and I ask ourselves why do people continue in a company that does not give them a decent salary?

And the question is that people last years in the same company because they don't know how to do anything else, plus they learned that a "safe" job was better, although it doesn't imply that they enjoy their work.

Questioning beliefs

"and if I leave this company, what am I going to do?" Or "what am I going to live on if I don't get another job?"

And the reason is that we were sold a system of physical labor in which we trade a day (almost) for a measly paycheck. The company pays for your time but not for your talent..

People go to college not to prepare for life but to learn how to be an employee. And it is such that many people come out of college without knowing what they are good for, what their talents are, their potential, what they are good at, and they go looking for a job with their (X) degree. But they don't know how to sell themselves. He has nothing else to offer but a degree, which sometimes is not enough to get the job.

**Some discover their potential and bring it out, others are lined up to do what others say.

Also there are many biases fed from home and social media. An example, days ago I was commenting to someone that I was playing online, and he says to me quizzically, "and that..? 🤔" He thought it was strange that a 58 year old woman was sitting down to play a video game. (Same thing happens when I say that I work online... 😯) And they ask me "and that gives you money?" and I: "siii..." Hehe 🥳🥳🥳🥳

Do you know your worth?

There are many in the world who are asleep, blind, led by blind. We just don't even know that we are creators.

My personal experience

In my case, step by step I have awakened. My first big step, was when I resigned from the ministry of education. All around me I heard criticisms, people were telling me how I was going to leave that stable job. That I was crazy. What was I going to live on? Etc...

Although it was a thought-out decision, I still did it with a bit of fear.... It was like paragliding, jumping into the void, but knowing what you want you go for it. Now after 6 years I regret it less and less, or better said, I'm more and more glad 😂.

And I continue to wake up and take off the bandages I had on my mind. Recognizing what I am capable of and affirming with what I do that I can still do more.

I am now in the internet world, learning and using cryptocurrencies, blogging, painting and drawing digitally and lately participating in video games for the reward of cryptos.

We just have to face the situations that allow us to use those tools that we possess but through ignorance we have not used them.

Make your potential come to light.

It's never too late to do what you really want. Age is not a limiting factor to show your true potential. Dare to do more. Look within yourself. Sometimes we want to do things but we start thinking if it's okay, what will others think and fear takes over your being.

To learn from your potential, try to do something new every day, as long as that activity pleases you. And every day you will do it to the best of your ability.

**Never compare yourself with others because everyone has their own pace.

If you want to do something and you are afraid, think: What is the worst thing that could happen to me if I dare to do something different? You will see that the answer will be surprising because nothing terrible will happen.

Come on, you won't die if you dare... you can make a mistake, but give yourself that permission and laugh.... Life is like a video game and when you lose, the next time you try you remember the previous mistake and in that new game you don't do it the same but different. And so you learn from your mistakes.

Smile, life is beautiful. More nothing...

Thank you for reading me so far. I wish you the best in your next steps. 🤗🍀🌹
