Welcome to my new Pots! Today I want to share with you my first watercolor portrait, which without a moment's hesitation, I wanted to be the joker.
Bienvenidos a mi nuevo Pots! Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi primer retrato en acuarela, que sin dudarlo ni un momento, quise que fuera el joker.
As you know the joker is a criminal character of the DC universe which is the main enemy of Batman, since I was very young one of my favorite characters has always been this, because, although everyone knows him nobody really knows who he is but in the last movie "The Joker" they give a story that for me has been his best presentation on the big screen, that's why today in my first watercolor portrait I decide to paint this unique character.
Como saben el joker es un personaje criminal del universo de DC el cual es el enemigo principal de Batman, desde muy chica uno de mis personajes favoritos siempre ha sido este, debido a que, aunque todos lo conocen nadie realmente sabe quién es, pero en la última película “The Joker” dan una historia que para mí ha sido su mejor presentación en la gran pantalla, es por eso que hoy en mi primer retrato en acuarela decido pintar a este singular personaje.
As you can see in my previous post I am learning the wonderful art of watercolor painting and today taking a bigger step I wanted to make a portrait.
Como lo pueden ver en mis anteriores post Estoy aprendiendo el maravilloso arte de pintar con acuarela y hoy dando un paso más grande quise hacer un retrato.
For today's watercolor use: brushes, a pencil, watercolors, an eraser and lots of love!
Para la acuarela de hoy utilice: pinceles, un lápiz, acuarelas, borrador y mucho cariño!

Now we're talking about the evolution of this portrait.
Ahora si! Vamos con la evolución de este retrato.
As you can see, to make this portrait I tried to use the white that the same canvas gave me and taking this as a base I decided to apply the colors that correspond to each thing (neck, mouth, nose, etc) and then I applied a minimum drop of black color to the color I used as a base to darken the tone of the color, also to play with layers of paint apply several layers with the same color but more diluted to give a little more shade in some places.
Como lograron observar, para realizar este retrato trate de utilizar el blanco que me dio el mismo lienzo y tomando esto como base decido aplicar los colores que corresponden a cada cosa (cuello, boca nariz, etc) y luego voy aplicando una mínima gota de color negro al color que use como base para oscurecer la tonalidad del color, así mismo para jugar con capas de pintura aplique varias capas con el mismo color pero más diluido para dar un poco más de sombra en algunos lugares.
For the hair I played with three shades of green to try to give more volume. At the end of the drawing I noticed that the eye color was very intense and I decided to apply a layer of black watercolor over it to darken it and that's when I decided that this is the last touch of paint for this portrait!
Para el cabello jugué con tres tonos de verde para tratar de dar un mayor volumen. Al final del dibujo me di cuenta que el color de los ojos era muy intenso y decidí aplicar una capa de acuarela negra sobre este para oscurecerlo y es entonces cuando decido que es el último toque de pintura para este retrato!
