According to my own observation, experience and understanding,Brooding are the processes and conditions that day old broiler birds pass through from maybe a day to their seventh day. While having it in mind to rear broiler birds,take note that the most difficult time to rear birds is during the raining season,to rear birds from day old to seventh week come along with a tedious task. When the birds are baby,it's glaring fact is that they detest cold because their immune system isn't strong to carry cold period l. So there are things to put in place and things to do while brooding. Some use different ways of Brooding broiler birds. Some use solar energy to transform heat to the brooding house while some use electricity supply to heat the brooding space. The only task I do is just pour the charcoal into the caolpot and then light it with matches ,then the will get heated that shake off the coldness from the birds.
But left for me ,the only chance I have got is to use this local means heating my Brooding house through the use of charcoal and coalpot. Charcoal is the black substance that is gotten from the burning of firewood while the coalpot is an iron made stuff that look like stood,it is made by the welding engineer.
When they are feeling cold ,is when you will see them being inactive,most of them will stay in place stagnant. But when the place is heat,you will see them moving around active.
