Yue Hwa building. One of the oldest buildings in Chinatown. It was recently restored. The building now has coloured lights shining on the facade. The lights changed every few seconds. That really draws attention to the building. It is quite refreshing because the building was once old and derelict and now it looked so new and hip.

People's Park Center. One of the many shopping complexes in Chinatown.

Hotel 81. One of a chain of budget hotels. Actually no frills is a better word, because with the price it is charging, especially in a prime location such as this, I don't think one would call the price a budget price.

This is a new cafe that came into existence just before the pandemic. I wonder how it is coping. Must be tough.

Earlier in the day, I strolled past Clarke Quay on the outskirts of Chinatown. This used to be bustling with night life. But in these pandemic times, it is a pale shadow of what it used to be.

A mural on a restaurant wall. The restaurant has wind up business - a victim of the times.
