Its still summer here and while on holidays the kids are practicing their home management courses cooking cleaning and having fun.
On one of these occasion my babies set to make doughs and bake.
Providing them the needed ingredients gives me joy because as adolescent they get to learn how to cook, bake, make pastries and food drinks. The future nutritionist and chefs have to start practicing early.
We started with making simple puff, the local way here where this isn't cooked in the oven but deep fried in vegetable oil.
Ingredients
Flour
Yeast (raising agent)
Sugar
Milk
Water.
For household puff-puff, any ingredients of your choice with some nutritional value can be added based on choice.
I allows the boys mix the dry ingredients first and also decide the quantity of yeast they feel is adequate into the mixture.
This was mixed with water and allowed to rise for 30mins.
The final step was the deep frying in oil.
These introduction lessons seem simple.
