Hello! I am María Alejandra better known as Majandra.
My story begins in Caracas, Venezuela, where I was born being the youngest of three sisters, the spoiled but also the most rugged, perhaps because I was the most risky, since I was a child I have climbed mountains and climbed trees, I have ridden two wheels and I have seen my head to bleeding. Those who knew me as an adult can now understand many things.
The emergency room programs have always been very attractive to me, being able to heal and improve a person's quality of life is priceless, but no, I did not study medicine, I am a dentist, I graduated from the Central University of Venezuela in 2018, and quite a few bizarre emergencies I was able to witness. During my career I discovered a very extensive world, full of saliva, microorganisms, tissues, nerves, blood that integrate perfectly and it is fascinating to know how they work and how to take care of them. I know! Only a few of you must be understanding my passion in all of this, better get to the action, the adventure that has characterized my life.
No soy de las personas que se niega a nuevas experiencias, es así como acepté la invitación de mi mejor amiga a pertenecer a un grupo de misioneros de la iglesia católica sin entender mucho de que se trataba, después de la primera misión no hubo vuelta atrás, recorrimos muchísimas calles en diferentes ciudades de Venezuela tan solo con nuestra mochila e inspirados por el Espíritu Santo que nos permitió llegar a lugares impensables a pie, fueron 8 años pero estoy segura que podré añadir muy pronto más experiencias de misiones en desconocidas tierras Argentinas.
I am not one of those people who refuses new experiences, this is how I accepted my best friend's invitation to belong to a group of missionaries of the Catholic Church without understanding much about it, after the first mission there was no way to turn back, we traveled many streets in different cities of Venezuela with only our backpacks and inspired by the Holy Spirit that allowed us to reach unthinkable places on foot, it was 8 years but I am sure that I will be able to add more mission experiences in unknown lands of Argentina very soon.
Hablando de tierras argentinas, hace 2 años me mude a Buenos Aires en busca de nuevos desafíos y superación personal. Estando aquí pude entender mi loca adicción por trepar árboles, casi por accidente, llegué a “TelaCirco” y empecé a subir una tela, un aro o un trapecio sin mucho esfuerzo, ahí supe que estas actividades me conectan con mi esencia. Llegué a presentarme en una función de más de 100 personas después de muchas horas de ensayo, ¡Que adrenalina!
Talking about Argentinean lands, 2 years ago I moved to Buenos Aires in search of new challenges and personal improvement. Being here I could understand my crazy addiction for climbing trees, almost by accident, I arrived at "TelaCirco" and started to climb an aerial silk, a hoop or a trapeze without much effort, there I knew that these activities connect me with my essence. I came to perform in a show of more than 100 people after many hours of rehearsal, what an adrenaline!
Just arriving to this city, I was shocked to see crowded places of people running, walking, cycling or rollerblading, so why not? I wanted to skate too! Some time later an unknown man in the woods of Palermo, the place where I usually go skating, suggested me to follow a profile of Instagram of which she would become my "Slalom teacher", I had no idea what it was about but I said yes, several months later I am a Slalom fan! Later I will explain in detail this sport that I have managed to master step by step with much effort but a lot of enthusiasm
Mi historia durante la cuarentena me ha llevado a esperar que me asignen algunos pedidos. ¡Si, soy una repartidora en bicicleta! me uní a este mundo ya que al no poder continuar en mi trabajo actual por la situación que vivimos, lo ví como una oportunidad de ser muy útil y poder andar en mi bici y recorrer muchos kilómetros, ¿a quién no le parece un trabajo perfecto? Este trabajo, me ha enseñado a tener paciencia y saber esperar, qué hay días buenos y otros no tanto, que me gusta la adrenalina de andar en calles transitadas a diferentes horas del día y a tomar en cuenta las medidas de seguridad durante esta pandemia.
My history during the quarantine has led me to wait for some orders to be assigned to me. Yes, I am a bike delivery girl! I joined this world because I could not continue in my current job due to the situation we are living, I saw it as an opportunity to be very useful and be able to ride my bike and travel many kilometers, who does not think it is a perfect job? This work has taught me to be patient and know how to wait, that there are good days and others not so good, that I like the adrenaline of walking on busy streets at different times of day and to take into account the security measures during this pandemic.
Life is a series of fortunate events that drive you to become your best. Here I go step by step, with my mistakes, fears and uncertainties but motivated 100%. I can only say that it has worked for me to say yes to new experiences, to allow me to do the activities I loved to do as a child and always look for those moments that fill me with energy to continue doing my daily work and contributing more to the world. I hope to be able to share many of these experiences in this beautiful community that receives me today .
