OPHIDIOPHOBIA [ENG

I don't know at what time I finish exactly and this is published, but for me it will count as fulfilling the 2x1 I mentioned in the previous post I published several hours ago.

Ophidiophobia is the fear, disgust or repulsion towards snakes, something very common, but as always when it comes to phobias, there are people who take this too far.

No sé a qué hora termine exactamente y se publique esto, pero para mí contara como cumplir con el 2x1 que mencione en el post anterior que publique hace varias horas.

La ofidiofobia es el miedo, asco o repulsión hacia las serpientes, algo muy común, pero como siempre cuando se trata de fobias, hay personas que llevan esto demasiado lejos.

The word ophidiophobia is composed of two parts as the phobias of which I have spoken previously ophidio that would come being a derivative of the word "ophidio" which comes being the suborder of the zoology to which are designated the scaly reptiles of elongated body, narrow, without extremities with flattened head and big mouth. And the word "phobia", which is derived from the Greek "phobos" who in this mythology represented the god of fear and for this reason this word is used to refer to extreme and irrational fears.

Ophidiophobia is a cognitive fear, that is to say that, to put it simply, most human beings are programmed with it and this is due to the fact that if it were not so, the evolutionary chain of man would have ended in the time of the caves.

La palabra ofidiofobia está compuesta por dos partes como las fobias de las que he hablado anteriormente ofidio que vendría siendo un derivativo de la palabra “ofidio” la cual viene siendo el suborden de la zoología al que se designan los reptiles escamosos de cuerpo alargado, estrecho, sin extremidades con cabeza aplanada y boca grande. Y la palabra “fobia”, que es derivativo del griego “phobos” quien en esta mitología representaba al dios del miedo y por esto se usa esta palabra para hacer referencia a los miedos extremos e irracionales.

La ofidiofobia es un miedo cognitivo, es decir que, por ponerlo de manera sencilla, la mayoría de los seres humanos venimos programados con ella y esto se debe a que de no ser así la cadena evolutiva del hombre hubiese terminado en la época de las cavernas.

But there are certain people that as I said before take this to the extreme, to the extent that they do not have to see a real snake to suffer a panic attack, just by seeing a picture, a toy that you can see how fake it is or even bringing snakes to the conversation makes these people tremble with fear.

For these cases it is usually that in some part of the psychological development of these people had an encounter or traumatic experience related to these reptiles. If you know someone who is in this situation please help them to attend therapy or treat their problem with a psychologist, mental health is very important.

Pero hay ciertas personas que como dije anteriormente llevan esto al extremo, al grado de que no tienen que ver una serpiente real para sufrir un ataque de pánico, con solo ver una foto, un juguete que a leguas se nota lo falso que es o inclusive traer serpientes a la conversación hace que estas personas tiemblen de miedo.

Para estos casos normalmente se trata de que en alguna parte del desarrollo psicológico de estas personas tuvo un encuentro o experiencia traumática relacionada con estos reptiles. Si conoces a alguien que se encuentre en esta situación por favor ayúdalo a que asista a terapia o trate su problema con un psicólogo, la salud mental es muy importante.
