Peaceful green grass / Danao Kota Lake Park

It feels so good to be able to go out again. Restrictions had been lifted up and we can hear the resurrection of the hustle bustle of the city. Traffics back to normal and the most important is I see people are alive. I mean the whole atmosphere becomes alive again.

The first thing we felt like doing was visiting the park. There is one that is very nearby us, around 15 minutes drive. It is called Danao Kota Lake Park, in our language we call it Taman Tasik Danao Kota. I didn't get to take the photo of the signboard because we entered through the other entrance into the children's cycling park. We didn't feel like entering into the lake part because the children wanted to cycle and to scoot.

The entrance to the smaller park looked like this. Immediately, my youngest son, Jansen started cycling away. And the eldest one was no where to be seen. He was so fast in scooting. When we reached there, it was still scorching hot so that explained the lesser people.

My husband and I casually walked or jogged minimally, we just wanted to go slow that day, to look at the greens, the gaze at the sky, to breathe fresh air, to enjoy nature. We saw people jogging and anothet mother training her children on the equipment provided there, some sort of gym or exercise stuff.

I love park. It always gives me a sense of tranquillity which malls and supermarkets cannot give. That feeling which assures you that in the end, things will be alright. Such a vast green sceneries here which calms the soul, mind and body.

There were shelters for people to sit and rest in the midst of activities. We sat there for awhile after sweating, to wipe the sweat, drink water and milk. Of course, a wefie photo was mandatory.

Then, I realised I wasn't in the picture, I took a selfie of myself while the boys continue their cycling, scooting and jogging.

I also walked to the nearby staircase which leads to the huge lake at another level. You could see more people there, mainly jogging. It was great to see the faces of people again. The very heartbeat of the town. I love this lake. I used to come here every Saturday with the kids. And hope to resume this soon after we get to finalise our schedules.

Do you notice green colour has some sort of magic to make everyone photos stand out. As though suddenly the one who took the photos of the green becomes a professional photographer? That's the power of nature, I guess. It always points me to the Creator of life. Varieties of trees and plants. Different hues of green. Such priceless peace and serenity.

We hope to come here more often. And then we will jog around the lake in the next round. We all went home with hearts full and contended. The body felt good when it sweated. Too long stucked at home had caused us to grow sideways. It is time to be healthy and fit again.

Let's do it!

Thank you for reading. Take care.
