Good morning my dear Hivers, I had been a little absent, planning to do more challenges and interesting things for you when something very important happened: it was my turn for vaccination, and if that wasn't enough, it was my turn in exactly one month for my second dose.

I have been documenting my experience and writing down every single thing that happened to me.

In Mexico, vaccination is by age range, letter of last name and specific day, in some cases it was by appointment, in my city it was not like that.

I got the Sinovac drug, and according to what the WHO says, this vaccine is valid since June 1st as effective and recognized by the health authorities.

I ask you to please get vaccinated, no matter which vaccine it is.

The sterilized road, to the vaccination center, they closed the area with a radius of more than two blocks.

To get vaccinated in Mexico, they ask for the CURP in the health page, which is the unique population registry that they give you for official procedures. In the registry, you are given a form that you have to print and fill in with information such as address, telephone, mail, the date and the vaccine you are due for.

They also indicate that you must bring your official ID, in our case the ID is an INE (National Electoral Institute) credential.

There are videos on the net of dances and games in the Mexican vaccination centers; I must clarify that they are real. We fill out the form with the vaccine lot, drug and date.

The nurses indicate the possible effects and approximate date of the next vaccination, apply the drug and leave you sitting for approximately 20 minutes for monitoring.

The effects that can occur are: arm pain, body pain, fever, diarrhea, tiredness, drowsiness and more.

The first hour I felt normal, then I got a kind of exhaustion and drowsiness quite intense. Within the hour, I assumed it was the effect of the vaccine.

After a few hours I had a slight headache, but we were advised to take paracetamol, which helped.

Actually the discomfort was not much, but it was like having a mini outbreak of COVID: my hair fell out a little, I am still sleepy (that's because it is a short time since my second dose), my stomach was sensitive but it did not hurt, slight body pain. I don't know if this is bone pain, but my legs ached as if I had run a marathon.

And the effect that almost nobody talks about, but is happening in many women: alterations in the menstrual cycle.

¿Qué me sucedió?

What happened to me?

I left these illustrations for reference, but let's focus on the second one.

It has happened to several Mexican friends, very similar to me. So stay tuned, my female readers.

  • Delayed period: I was very regular and had a 2 week delay, and I couldn't have a more logical explanation than the vaccine. I have no partner and no such encounters.
  • Legendary God level bleeding: folks, no exaggeration, it was way too heavy.
  • Pain: unfortunately I experienced for many years abnormal pains and again I felt it again.
  • Acne: this one is not in the picture, but I had a slight increase in acne.
  • Mood swings: I have been more sensitive to the most "silly" situations, between cartoons or movies.

Image of how my acne was on an outing with two friends, one of whom is my dentist.

After just experiencing this, because of the type of vaccine I had, I received my second dose.

My only actual complaint was that I was injected very poorly, the first time I didn't have as much bleeding.

The effects were almost nil this time.

Consulta a tu médico.

I am waiting 20 days for the full effect.

Remember that the vaccine is to prevent the disease from being fatal, it does not mean that you cannot get it.

The side effects can be endured for a while, it is not vitally important not to be able to drink or smoke, I think we can all make the sacrifice.

Have you already been vaccinated, are you planning to get vaccinated? Tell me about your experience and share it with the women you know, don't be scared.

Consult your doctor.

/If you made it this far, thanks for reading a little bit about what I am.
