¡Hola Chicos!
Continuando con mi pequeño proyecto artístico, el día de hoy les traigo otra de las obras que he pintado a mi estilo sobre un CD de música reciclado.

Continuing with my little artistic project, today I bring you another of the works that I have painted in my style on a recycled music CD..
Les cuento, cuando mi papá se fue del país me dejo gran parte de su colección de libros, entre ellos se encontraba un libro de Vermeer con muchas de sus obras e historia. Hojeándolo un poco cuando me encontraba seleccionando las pinturas que quería recrear me crucé con esta pintura,"La joven de la Perla".
No he pintado muchos rostros realistas, a decir verdad, le tengo un poquito de miedo a la cosa porque no quiero que me queden con una expresión rara. Pensé en una alternativa para pintarla sin tener que pasar por eso, así que mi idea fue "no pintes los rasgos de su rostro". Sería una especie de silueta sin expresión.
Es entonces cuando me pongo manos a la obra y comienzo a pintarla.
I tell you, when my dad left the country he left me a large part of his book collection, among them was a book by Vermeer with many of his works and his history. Looking through it a bit when I was selecting the paintings that I wanted to recreate, I came across this painting, 'The Young Woman with the Pearl'.
I have not painted many realistic faces, to tell the truth, I am a little afraid of the thing because I do not want them to leave me with a strange expression. I thought of an alternative to paint her without having to go through that, so my idea was 'don't paint the features of her face'. It would be a kind of expressionless silhouette.
That's when I get down to work and start painting it.
Fijándome los detalles en el libro, comencé trazando las líneas de guía con un lápiz. He mezclado en mi paleta tonos color piel, un poco de marrón para hacer algunas sombras en el costado de la nariz, el pómulo y la parte del cuello, y un poco con blanco para darle brillo a la parte izquierda del rostro.
Noting the details in the book, I began by tracing the guide lines with a pencil. I have mixed nude tones in my palette, a little brown to make some shadows on the side of the nose, cheekbone and neck, and a little white to give shine to the left side of the face.
Al igual que la vez anterior, mi hijo quiso acompañarme a pintar, esta vez, usando su intelecto para crear su pintura. Le gusta experimentar con la textura de los óleos y ver las combinaciones de colores que puede lograr con ellos. 😊
Like the previous time, my son wanted to accompany me to paint, this time, using his intellect to create his painting. He likes to experiment with the texture of oils and see what color combinations he can achieve with them. 😊
Cuando pintas a veces es difícil documentar un paso a paso porque uno se deja atrapar por las pinceladas, es por eso que esta foto ya está un poco más avanzada.
Luego de pintar la cara y el cuello, he pintado parte de su vestimenta utilizando amarillo tostado y blanco para la zona del cuello. También agregué detalles en gris y blanco para el arete que se puede ver.
Utilicé un azul grisáceo combinado con azul ultramar y un poco de blanco para intentar asemejar el color del velo en su cabeza.
When you paint sometimes it is difficult to document a step by step because one gets caught up in the brush strokes, that is why this photo is already a little more advanced.
After painting the face and neck, I have painted part of her outfit using tan yellow and white for the neck area. I also added gray and white accents for the earring that you can see.
I used a grayish blue combined with ultramarine blue and a bit of white to try to match the color of the veil on her head.
Finalmente terminé el velo con los mismos tonos amarillo tostado y marrón que utilicé en el vestido. Por último acomodé algunos detalles como el cuello y terminé agregando una pequeña firma. Queda toda tosca porque me hace falta un pincel más fino 😅.
Ahora les enseñaré como quedó + un resumen del día. Espero que hayan disfrutado la obra, yo la verdad lo gocé bastante y me he puesto como reto el poder crear un rostro con todas las facciones y sin temores. 😊
I finally finished the veil with the same tan yellow and brown tones that I used on the dress. Lastly, I arranged some details like the neckline and ended up adding a small signature. It is all coarse because I need a finer brush 😅.
Now I will show you how it was + a summary of the day. I hope you enjoyed the work, I really enjoyed it a lot and I have made it a challenge to be able to create a face with all the features and without fear. 😊
