Simple Science Experiment: Static Electricity

Science is Fun!

Hello everyone, this is your @divinekids once again. This time, we would like to share a very simple Science experiment even little kids can do.

Static Electricity

Static electricity is the imbalance of positive and negative charges of objects. When we apply friction to between two objects, we create this imbalance and produce static electricity.

The negative charge of an object will be transferred the other object, and it will become positively charged and can attract another object.

The Plastic Comb

We used a plastic comb in the experiment. Why? Because plastic is not a good conductor of electricity, meaning the charge will remain on it. Unlike if we use a metal object, the electric charge will just pass through it, and go straight to the ground.

Interesting right?

Please watch the video to see how much fun we had in this very simple experiment.

Until next time!

❤️, Kuya, Gabbie & Janjan
