2020 marked the first year I have dressed up for Halloween since 2015.
That’s a total of five years! I have to thank @flowerbaby for giving me somebody to dress up with and have some fun.
This year I dressed up as my own version of a samurai from my favorite video game Ghost of Tsushima. @flowerbaby decided to get dolled up as a Pirate Fairy. I think both of our costumes turned out freaking awesome!
We went to Magic Island in Charleston, WV to get some photographs of our costumes. We just happened to get there at the perfect time, right as the sun was setting. Just as we finished the photo set, the sun disappeared behind the WV hills. Perfect timing.
Now time for you to experience the results of our Halloween celebration.

Ghost of Tsushima - @daltono
I ordered a custom Ghost of Tsushima mask from GamePropsArt on Etsy. I was actually this sellers first buyer, I’m glad I took the chance and bought from him. The masked came in the mail a few days later and the quality was just what I was hoping for. This 3D-printed mask is a fantastic replica of the mask that Jin Sakai wears in Ghost of Tsushima. I was especially a fan of the fancy rope tie on the mask.
To go along with the mask, I ordered a hooded silk shaw from The Buried. It was their most recent drop and a collaboration with Head Bang Society. It is fully reversible, black on one side and white on the other. Plus it comes with a matching belt and pockets.
These shaws are designed to be worn to raves, which I miss tremendously. I hope to wear it to the first rave I get to attend if they ever come back. In the mean time I thought it was the perfect combination with my mask. Upon receiving this in the mail I was thrilled to know it was a perfect fit. The quality was fantastic and it matched my Ghost mask wonderfully.
Lastly I was able to take advantage of the fact that I had purchased a bamboo drone flute many years ago. This instrument is prominent in Ghost of Tsushima. Sadly I’m not actually able to play this instrument, but I sure did look good pretending to.
The final result is my favorite Halloween costume of all time. Enjoy the photos that @flowerbaby took of me.
Pirate Fairy - @flowerbaby
Just look at this gorgeous girl. I was stunned to see my girl looking so amazing and she was so excited to be looking this spectacular. @flowerbaby is such a beauty day in and out, but it’s not everyday she gets to go all out with a get up like this.
This costume had so many different components that meshed together perfectly. A lovely blouse with a red dress and black corset. A pirate necklace and cute choker. Black boots with a peg leg and striped sock. A pirate bandana with a rainbow flower headdress. Sparkly fairy wings. Plus bedazzled face jewels and majestic makeup. @flowerbaby is so creative and made her own character that was exactly who she wanted to be this Halloween night.
I think @flowerbaby looked so colorful and beautiful this Halloween. Her costume was so cool! Enjoy these photos that I took of @flowerbaby
A Samurai and a Pirate Fairy visit a magic island
We didn’t do the typical match as a couple costumes. Instead we let each other get as creative as we wanted to be. The both of us were exactly who we wanted to be and the results were nothing short of exciting.
I don’t think either one of us expected each other to look so awesome, but we should have known. We have fun every single time we are together, but this was the most fun I’ve had in awhile. I love dressing up and taking photos both.
I used a tripod and my Apple Watch to get the photos of us together. All of the photos from this photo set were taken with my iPhone XS. I’m proud of both of our photo skills and our ability to express our creativity. This was so much fun!
Thanks for checking out our #Halloween blog!
@flowerbaby and I were so happy to get to dress up together and take this memorable photos. I will never forget this Halloween.
