In the month of December 2020 I was in the Alameda Theater in the parish of San Agustin in Caracas, Venezuela with @vida.verde teaching a Puppet Worksh Ecological teaching the children of the community about the problems generated by garbage, the importance and value of recycling, I firmly believe that art is a strong tool to reach the conscience. The experiences that transform and our goal is to cultivate many transformative experiences in the people we touch in a way that is conscious of the importance of preserving the environment in every activity we do.
This parish is a cultural parish that is highlighted above all for its music and traditional dance, now it has also become a touristic space with a Tours that shows the positive reality of this humble sector. So the music could not be missing and that was taken care of by @manuelmusic and @afroadrianv who are excellent musicians, workshop teachers of Afro-Venezuelan music and part of Vida Verde.
The same week we were there I ran into a muralist friend, I met first his art and then him, his concepts full of colors that reflect the joy that surrounds our Venezuelan and Latin American character, I really love his art, he is Luis Ordaz https://www.instagram.com/llordaz/, who along with other muralists joined and created a collective called the 5th Leg, they made this beautiful mural that represents very well San Agustin.
This parish of Caracas where there is always music, joy and guaguanco. Salsa and Afro-descendant rhythms are always present in it, along with the joy, hope and nobility of its people.
In the center of this great mural are two elderly people dancing, enjoying, which merges in the background with the houses of San Agustin neighborhood that in turn become stairs representing the great journey that have to make those who live higher up the stairs, two women singing, musicians accompanied by details of the locality and its environment.
All this is reflected in this concept created by them to represent the Parroquia San Agustín which is certainly pure Guaguancó and Colores.

Guaguanco de Colores 🎨
En el mes de diciembre del 2020 estuve en el Teatro Alameda en la parroquia San Agustín de Caracas, Venezuela con @vida.verde dictando un Taller de Títeres Ecológicos enseñándole a los niños y niñas de la comunidad sobre los problemas que genera la basura, la importancia y el valor del reciclaje , creo firmemente que el arte es fuerte herramienta para llegar a la conciencia. El experiencias que transforman y nuestra meta es cultivar muchas de experiencias transformadoras en las personas que tocamos de manera consciente de la importancia de la preservación del medio ambiente en cada actividad que hacemos.
Esta parroquia es una parroquia cultural que destaca sobre todo por la música y la danza tradicional, ahora se ha convertido también él un espacio turístico con un Tours que muestra la realidad positiva de este sector humilde. Así que la música no podía faltar y de eso se encargaron @manuelmusic y @afroadrianv que son excelentes músicos, maestros de taller de música afrovenezolana y parte de Vida Verde.
La misma semana que estuvimos allí me tope un amigo Muralista , conocí primero su arte y luego a él , sus conceptos llenos de colores que reflejan la alegría , que envuelve nuestro carácter venezolano y Latinoamericano, realmente me encanta su arte, él es Luis Ordaz https://www.instagram.com/llordaz/, quien junto a otros muralistas se unieron y crearon un Colectivo llamado la 5ta Pata, ellos hicieron este hermoso mural que representa muy bien a San Agustín.
Esta parroquia de Caracas donde siempre hay música, alegría y guaguanco. La salsa y los ritmos afro descendientes siempre están presentes en ella, junto la alegría esta esperanza y nobleza de su gente.
En centro de este gran mural son dos adultos mayores bailando, disfrutando que se fusiona al fondo con las casitas de barrio San Agustín que a su vez convierten en escaleras representando el gran trayecto que tienen que hacer los que viven mas arriba por las escaleras, dos mujeres cantando, músicos acompañados de detalles propios de la localidad y su entorno.
Todo esto se ve reflejado en este concepto creado por ellos para representar a la Parroquia San Agustín que ciertamente es puro Guaguancó y Colores.
