I am convinced that the future of the video game industry will be dominated by blockchain-based games, it will take some more time, but the rise will happen.
That's why I look carefully at every new blockchain-based game but unfortunately, due to the limited time I have available, I can't try them all so I have to make choices.
I mainly prefer games created and developed on the Hive blockchain that offer me the opportunity to:
- play and have fun
- publish content on my favorite blockchain (obviously Hive ;)
- promote Hive on other blogging platforms.
In fact, sharing a post about a game developed on Hive outside of Hive is an opportunity to let people know not only the game but also indirectly Hive to those who do not know of its existence.
Dcrops is one of the last games I decided to try and invest in.
Dcrops (https://www.dcrops.com/) is a farming game based on Hive's blockchain.
It is an easy game to play and requires little time to play.
If it's the first time you hear about the game of Dcrops and you want to deepen you can read a post I wrote in the past where I wrote some tips for new players and where I explained some mechanisms of the game and my buying strategy:
On Dcrops each player impersonates the role of a farmer.
In Dcrops, time is marked by the seasons, which are the same as in real life (spring, summer, autumn, winter) but last only 15 days.
Right now, in the game of Dcrops, the temperatures are very high because the spring season ended a little more than 1 day ago and summer has just begun and will end in about 13 days.
My end of season report
At the beginning of the spring season I had 3490.48 CROP tokens in my in-game wallet.
In the following image you can see the total amount of CROP tokens I have now:
So in the season that just ended, from the sale of the agricultural products I harvested, I got 1703.36 Crop tokens as a reward.
The CROP tokens are the native tokens of the Dcrops game and are second layer Hive tokens that can be transferred, sold and bought from the marketplaces of the following sites:
Today September 13, 2021 the value of 1 CROP token is 0.00206 HIVE (Highest BID on Hive Engine).
Based on the current value of the CROP tokens the reward I received at the conclusion of spring has a value of 3.50892 HIVE.
To date, I have invested 115.94 HIVE in the game of Dcrops.
Initially I had set a limit to my investment on Dcrops of 100 HIVE but then, considering the increase of active players and considering the increase of value of CROP tokens, I decided to increase my limit to 150 HIVE.
I consider farming games mainly as investments so from a financial point of view my end of season reward is equivalent to 3.026% of the invested capital.
A gain (ROI) of 3.026% in 15 days equates to an estimated annual return of just over 72%.
Obviously the 72% ROI is an estimated value because it will vary based on:
- the future value of CROP tokens
- the future value of HIVE tokens
- the amount of shares points produced by me in a year compared to the amount of shares points produced by other Dcrops players.
Dcrops players will have another chance to receive additional rewards when quests are introduced but at the moment the main source of rewards is the Dcrops leaderboard.
Every 15 days a Reward Pool consisting of a certain amount of CROP tokens is divided among players based on Shares points earned during the season.
The Shares points are obtained from the sale of agricultural products and for the season that has just started the Reward Pool is 482760.323 CROP tokens.
In my strategy on Dcrops the break-even point is an important goal but it is not the current main goal.
For the moment I am not worried about reaching the break-even point because I am still in the investment phase of the Dcrops game.
When I have invested 150 HIVE, reaching the break-even point will be my main goal to achieve.
The total number of CROP tokens in my possession (Hive Engine + Wallet Dcrops) is 5656.33 CROP.
The value of 5656.33 CROP tokens is 11.65 HIVE.
As you can see from the calculation in the image below, to reach the break-even point I need to accumulate a total of rewards worth 104.29 HIVE.
In the current season (summer) I have been using a portion of my SEED cards and as you can see from the following image I have all the plots of my LAND cards occupied.
In a little less than two days I will be able to harvest my first crop and I will have two free plots.
In a little more than two days all the WHEAT seed cards that I used on the first day of the season will bear fruit and I will have a lot of free plots so I will have to go back to investing in SEED cards but that will be the topic of my next post on Dcrops.

Dcrops e la fine della Primavera: Il mio Report e le mie Considerazioni
Sono convinto che il futuro del settore dei videogames sarà dominato dai giochi basati su blockchain, ci vorrà ancora del tempo, ma il sopparso avverrà.
Per questo motivo guardo con attenzione ad ogni nuovo gioco basato su blockchain ma purtroppo, a causa del poco tempo che ho a disposizione, non posso provarli tutti e quindi devo fare delle scelte.
Prediligo principalmente i giochi creati e sviluppati sulla blockchain di Hive che mi offrono l'occasione di:
- giocare e divertirmi
- pubblicare contenuti sulla mia blockchain preferita (ovviamente Hive ;)
- promuovere Hive su altre piattaforme di blogging.
Infatti condividere un post relativo ad un gioco sviluppato su Hive al di fuori di Hive è un' occasione per far conoscere non solo il gioco ma indirettamente anche Hive a chi non sa della sua esistenza.
Dcrops è uno degli ultimi giochi che ho deciso di provare e in cui ho deciso di investire.
Dcrops (https://www.dcrops.com/) è un gioco di farming basato sulla blockchain di Hive.
E' un gioco semplice da giocare e richiede poco tempo da dedicarci.
Se è la prima volta che senti parlare del gioco di Dcrops e vuoi approfondire puoi leggere un post che ho scritto in precedenza in cui ho scritto alcuni consigli per i nuovi giocatori e in cui ho spiegato alcuni meccanismi del gioco e la mia strategia di acquisto:
Su Dcrops ogni giocatore impersona il ruolo di un imprenditore agricolo.
Su Dcrops il tempo è scandito dalle stagioni che sono le stesse della vita reale (primavera, estate, autunno, inverno) ma hanno una durata di soli 15 giorni.
In questo momento, nel gioco di Dcrops, le temperature sono molto alte perchè la stagione primaverile è terminata da poco più di 1 giorno ed è appena iniziata l'estate che terminerà tra circa 13 giorni
Il mio report di fine stagione
All'inizio della stagione primaverile avevo nel mio wallet interno al gioco 3490.48 token CROP.
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere il totale dei token CROP che ho adesso:
Quindi nella stagione appena conclusa, dalla vendita dei prodotti agricoli che ho raccolto, ho ottenuto come ricompensa 1703.36 token Crop.
I token CROP sono i token nativi del gioco di Dcrops e sono token di secondo livello di Hive che possono essere trasferiti, venduti e comprati dai mercati dei seguenti siti:
Oggi 13 settembre 2021 il valore di 1 token CROP è di 0.00206 HIVE (Highest BID su Hive Engine).
In base al valore attuale dei token CROP la ricompensa che ho ricevuto alla conclusione della primavera ha un valore di 3.50892 HIVE.
Fino ad oggi ho investito nel gioco di Dcrops 115.94 HIVE.
Inizialmente avevo fissato un limite al mio investimento su Dcrops di 100 HIVE ma poi, considerato l'aumento dei giocatori attivi e considerato l'aumento di valore dei token CROP, ho deciso di aumentare il mio limite a 150 HIVE.
Considero i giochi di farming principalmente degli investimenti quindi dal punto di vista finanziario la mia ricompensa di fine stagione equivale al 3.026% del capitale investito.
Un guadagno (ROI) del 3.026% in 15 giorni equivale ad un guadagno annuale stimato di poco superiore al 72%.
Ovviamente il ROI del 72% è un valore stimato perchè varierà in base:
- al valore futuro dei token CROP
- valore futuro dei token HIVE
- al quantitativo dei punti Shares prodotti da me in un anno rapportato al quantitativo dei punti Shares prodotti dagli altri giocatori di Dcrops.
I giocatori di Dcrops avranno un'altra possibilità di ricevere ricompense aggiuntive quando saranno introdotte le quest ma al momento la fonte principale delle ricompense è la classifica di Dcrops.
Ogni 15 giorni una Reward Pool composta da un certo quantitativo di token CROP viene suddivisa tra i giocatori in base ai punti Shares ottenuti durante la stagione.
I punti Shares si ottengono dalla vendita dei prodotti agricoli e per la stagione appena iniziata la Reward Pool è di 482760.323 token CROP.
Nella mia strategia su Dcrops il punto di pareggio è un obbiettivo importante ma non è quello principale attuale.
Per il momento non mi preoccupo di raggiungere il punto di pareggio perchè sono ancora in fase di investimento sul gioco di Dcrops.
Quando avrò investito 150 HIVE, il raggiungimento del punto di pareggio sarà il mio obbiettivo principale da raggiungere.
Il numero totale dei token CROP in mio possesso (Hive Engine + Wallet Dcrops) è di 5656.33 CROP.
Il valore di 5656.33 token CROP è di 11.65 HIVE.
Come puoi vedere dal calcolo nell'immagine seguente, per raggiungere il punto di pareggio devo accumulare un totale di ricompense del valore di 104.29 HIVE.
Nella stagione in corso (estate) ho utilizzato una parte delle mie carte SEED e come puoi vedere dall'immagine seguente ho tutti i terreni delle mie carte LAND occupati.
Fra poco meno di due giorni potrò effettuare il mio primo raccolto e avrò due terreni liberi.
Fra poco più di due giorni tutte le carte seme WHEAT che ho utilizzato il primo giorno della stagione produrranno i loro frutti e avrò molti terreni liberi e per questo motivo dovrò tornare ad investire nell'acquisto di carte SEED ma questo sarà l'argomento del mio prossimo post su Dcrops.
