Destination Streethay Wharf - Monomad Challenge

Hail to the Hive!

We have had quite the adventure trying to return here. Three months ago we were at Streethay Wharf and we booked our little narrowboat 'Badger' in to be taken out the water so we can black the hull. This usually needs to be done every 2 to 3 years and it's time for ours to be done.

But we broke down about 20km away from here and were having quite some difficulty in getting the boat running again.

Luckily for us we managed to get a tow from some friendly boaters who towed us the whole way here, even though initially they were only planning to come half way on that particular day.

So now we are here with some days to spare so I thought I'd wander down and take a look at where we will be bringing the boat in to next Friday.

I do love the feel of this boat yard as it has an old school working yard kind of feel about it.

Hopefully we can get the engine fixed before we take her in but if not we can pull her the remaining 300m easily.

The place is a B&W monomad haven also so I think I may very well get some good shots while we have the boat out of the water too!
