My entry for the #monomad challenge.

Well, sort of? There was a big sign near an area of concrete blocks near a back channel of the Mississippi River. To abide by the sign and agree to not trespass? Or do I live a little and just flirt a bit on the outskirts of this area...just a little bit here and there to capture concrete, shadows, and light?

Well, as you can see, I chose the latter and went ahead and took a few photos.

I'm not sure what any of these large blocks of concrete are used for. They've been sitting here for a few years; I drive by it occasionally when looking for a new beer for Saturdays. This past weekend, I figured I'd stop by and finally check it out.

Light and shadow on concrete...what a treat for a Saturday night. As luck would have it, no one noticed me creeping around the area for a photo too. A perfect urban adventure!

Once done, I jumped in the Camry and drove away to work on my German feast. This one wasn't quite as violent as my previous admission, but I do wonder what these blocks are used for. Perhaps nothing, and like everything else along the shoreline, they too are left to rot and decay for the next 100 years. At least they may provide some inspiration to another amateur artist in the coming years. I hope so, anyway.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my photographs. As always, I appreciate it!
