Public Transportation In the Streets Of Cebu Province | #Monomad Challenge

Hi there Black and White community, hope all are safe and doing well wherever you are on the globe. For this content, I will be sharing again my entry for the #monomad challenge of @monochromes. And this time it will be street photos again.

In the Philippines motorcycles and tricycles are the dominant vehicles used as public transportation you can find in small towns and villages especially in the province of Cebu. "Habal-habal" is the local term for motorcycle taxis in Cebu, which is preferred by most commuters to beat traffic especially in the city streets, and so with the streets in provinces. Like what I will be showing you in this content.

As you can see in the above photo, the motorcycle and Habal-habal (Motorcycle Taxi) has their own designated parking area where they wait for passengers. Motorcycles usually accommodate one passenger at a time, while tricycles accommodate a total of six passengers.

On the other hand, some tricycles were used as their personal vehicle by individuals like in the above photo. The man used his tricycle as mobile food cart selling street foods.

Fronting the public market in our town, tricycles were perfectly lined up waiting for passengers to come by.
