Chogolisa - A seed of light

This is my entry for #monomad challenge by @monochromes

Ali camp is located at 5000 meters high, near to Gondogoro La (Gondogoro pass), under Chogolisa, a white and breathless mountain also called Bride Peak (Picco della Sposa in italian language). It is 7665 meters high:

Here the summit at sunrise:

Here a zoom of the summit (watch the crack on the snowy summital dome):

Chogolisa name means 'hunting territory' and it derives by balti language: chhogo (great), ling (hunting), sa (land, territory).

It is like some unknown force has frozen the waves of a stormy ocean.
I was amazed, I was staring at it like a child in front of one of the most beautiful creature even seen, feeling beauty and fear at the same time.

Hermann Buhl and Kurt Diemberger tried to climb this mountain in 1957, but they had to turn back due to bad weather. On the way down, Hermann Buhl fell to his death due to a snowy cornice falling. His body has never been found, it is still here, maybe inside the ice and the snow. That is the best wedding between man and mountain, and I like to think that the second name of this mountain is Bride Peak for that reason: a symbol of intimate union and love between human body and Mountain.

From Ali camp, the sight of Chogolisa is hidden by another great wall with spectacular snowy and rocky canals, with a dangling serac under summital ridge, never climbed:

I have taken the following pic at sunrise: the first sunrays hit an amazing snowy 'meringue' on the ridge. It was like a seed of light in the heart of the glacier:

This seed is inside me now, every travel has changed me.
Natural rules are hostile, but sometimes, I prefer them to some inhumane rules created by our society.

Here another peaks, maybe without a name, maybe never climbed, celebrating the new day coming:

I'll post also thispic taken from internet to understand better mountains location. Ali camp is at the top of the glacier on the right side:

After this day my Nikon camera had a temporary break because of cold and humidity (lens stopped to communicate with camera body).
