I mentioned in the intro post that I live in a small town in Myanmar. Our town is located in Shan state, so it is mostly inhabited by Shan people. My town also borders China. China and my town are just a small river apart. Our town is a cold region surrounded by mountains. Therefore, it is a good place to grow trees and plants. In some parts of the town where I live, paddy is grown. My dad loves to grow plants and plants.
We grow vegetables and some flowers in our house. Plants such as papaya, avocados, roselle leaf, Wikipedia, pumpkins, peppers, roses, daisies are grown. We also grow peaches and sunflowers. But now the sunflowers is gone. The avocado tree is still small. The picture above shows the avocado plant. This plant has been planted for 3 years. I think we can save a little money by planting vegetables plant. And I think it would look better with greenery next to the house because of the plants.
In the beginning, we bought a papaya for eat. When we planted the seeds of the papaya, a lot of papaya grew like this. Papaya plants are still small. Now there are a lot of papayas. I think it’s lovely to have a lot of papaya with a small plant. The papaya is not ripe yet. I’ll show you when the fruit is ripe.
Chayote is also like papaya. I bought one or two chayote fruits and planted a lot of them. This plant has only been planted for two years. However, in just two years, it bears much fruit. I also give some of these fruits as gifts to my neighbors. Our family also eats this fruit. Excess fruit is sold at the market. Our family get extra income from this. This fruit is very good when fried with egg. I think it is healthier to grow it at home without using pesticides.
This chayote is the fruit of these tiny flower.
The flower shown above is called a white glabba wintii flower by forerigners. But in Myanmar, it is called Pan-Tain-Ngo.
