Having a part-time job while attending the university .📘📚

Hello my friends of ASEAN Hive Community
This is the first time I've written a post on this community. I hope you guys will like my story.❤️❤️
Today I want to talk about an interesting topic that everyone always discusses two sides of this topic.
Should college students have a part-time job while studying 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️?

It's been a half year since I graduated from university. In the introduction post before, I mentioned that I studied at Danang university of foreign language studies. I must say that English on my school's curriculum is quite hard for me. Beside many main courses related to my major, I learned many skills such as making presentation, communication skills, ... It means that I had a busy schedule at school.

This above picture was about the last time I did a presentation for "Business Communication" course at school one year ago. Four years at university is not too long but it saved many meaningful lessons and knowledge. This is the foundation for each person to seek for their work, their passion of the life.

Due to Covid-19, my study was a bit later. After a few months, in January of this year, I finally graduated from my university. But it was fine. I would like to share my experiences of my working and studying during university.

In the first year I mainly focused on my studying and participating in some clubs at school. When I was sophomore, my first job was English Assistant at English center. The schedule was flexible, so I could handle to work after school. I just worked 10 hours per week. At first, I was accustomed to the professional world, which catch on the future work quickly.

My main duties were about to support English teachers in explaining and correcting students' mistakes, assist teachers with lesson preparation by getting materials ready and setting up equipment. I regularly checked students' attendance and informed schedule to students.

I love this kind of part-time job so much. Kids are innocent and cute.😛😛 Sometimes they are quite naughty and active but if you love them, you will know how to talk with them.

And after one year, I looked for another job related to English that I could communicate with other people. I was a receptionist at a hotel when I was junior.

Being a receptionist brought me many advantages in my life. Besides how to welcome and consult services to guests, register and check guests in, I knew many aspects of this field.

I've met a lot of people from all over the world, I love to share for them about my beautiful country when they come to Vietnam. And I want to know about their custom, culture, tradition and lifestyle.
Obviously, I had to deal with complainant and unexpected situation actively. I knew how to learn experience from each other, communicate and interact with others. That were value lessons that I could not learn at school.
Do you still remember these friendly guests @babeltrips ?

Having a part-time job expend relationships and improve my speaking skills. Moreover, I could earn some money and be able to pay for my living costs such as books, foods, clothes, ... I realized how hard to earn money.

In my spare time, I joined in a club with my friends called "Hoi An Free Tour Guide". It was amazingly interesting. I would love to share the tourists about famous places, delicious cuisine and common things in Vietnam.

We all know everything has its pros and cons. In my opinion, having a part-time job during university has more advantages than drawbacks, as well as you have to balance time between studying and working better.

Thank you for your reading and have a great week ahead.
