Coming Back To Stadler Furt...Nature Is Just Around The Corner!

Wednesday Walk And Make Me Smile ...23.06.2021 Edition

These images were taken last April of this year when I dragged along my husband to come and have a look at this place since he had never visited the area since our relocation. There is really beauty in this place that is why people from the neighboring towns are drawn to come here many times. The Lobau is a recreational area that stretches from Vienna to the Slovakian border.

The water part in Stadler Furt is huge than most of the areas compared to the swamp-like areas on the the Viennese side. The waterflow from there does not go further here in hot summer days since most of these areas on the Viennese side were taken over by the Reet.

Of course, the water flows here during strong rain and reaches further this area. There are areas that are levelled flat so the visitors could relax and also have the chance to get into the water. Kids could swim though without parents fearing the safety of children because the water is not deep enough.

They have put on some cut trunks of old trees to slow down the flow of the water. Other than that they let the nature as it is.

Even the animals take dip into the water on a hot day like this.

The water is very clear , the town admins are taking care of the area and see to it that the visitors abide by the cleanliness all over. On hot Summer days, this is jampacked with visitors that are sunseekers. We will surely come back here as the flea market is just a few meters away .
