It's been awhile! Nasi Lemak Yo!

Since the country has move to it's phase to of the recovery mode(and we're still breaking new high of the confirm cases), many of the restaurant are now allowed for dine in(where the restaurant owner died of some covid complications as it claims), so the country now cheer for what they seems to forget the lockdown for.

Anyway, let's not look back into the fucked up situation, and enjoy some good and traditional food. Nasi Lemak, boiled eggs, and a bag of milk tea is the way to go.

The name is called Nasi Lemak, is from the Malay language we locally called. Nasi is rice, lemak is fat. That however, I've been mistakenly thinking it's fat rice, but only recent few years I found out from elderly, when the two words combined, the meaning is no longer fat. It's the way they put other fruits to make the rice fragrant, and they named that as "fat". Hence, the coconut milk steamed rice is called Nasi Lemak.

It came with deep fried anchovies, some ground nuts, half a boiled egg, and topped with some spicy sauce. I'm telling you, this thing is like magic. We do have vegetarian version, but I prefer this type of traditional taste. A take out version is usually wrapped with banana leaf, that give you a little bit extra "green" smells to it. Don't ask me if it's safe to eat it this way, the next time when you have a chance to enjoy this food, better eat first. After you're done, try to pull a slice of wet wipes and give the whitere area of that banana leaf a sweep and tell me what do you think. LOL
