The keeps front grounds are filled with all sorts
Hanging from the Gilded Vale tree is an older woman accused of being a Witch that delves in the dark arts. She was showing interest in TheGoliath, asking if he was there for her and awaiting a response through mind reading.
"I believe I might have survived a Biawac, do you know why I might have?"
She spoke in riddles as if it could be luck, but could be what happened as like a storm, it could be careless and have allowed it; then she proceeded to grant TheGoliath the Crucible of the Soul. This was a new quest gained which requires the party to now travel to Caed Nua.
After some time to travel the party arrives at Caed Nua and have to go inside the keep to complete the quest.
Outside of the keeps walls, waiting and contemplating what to do is a chanter named Kana. He was curious as to the parties intentions and whether or not they would be wanting to join him in exploring the keep.
"Be warned though, I have had assassins following me, trying to stop me from finding what I am looking for in the keep but I would appreciate any help you can offer me" Kana announced before looking back at the wall.
"What are some assassins amongst friends? We would be happy to help, we have to head in there anyway and could use with the help of a chanter" claimed TheGoliath before they all laugh, Domabara changes place with Kana and they head on in.
First up to be confronted by in the keeps front courtyard grounds are three dark shadow spirits gliding toward them. The party thought they would be a challenge but even melee fighting was able to do well, with help of a spell from TheGoliath and the buff from the chanter Kana, ensuring swift finishing off on the spirits.
After finishing those and some other spirits waiting around the courtyard, the party was forced to face off with Small Flame Blights. These were essentially nothing but fire, living fire and they would be hurtful with the burning damage done to those up close to them.
"Damn it burns! But we must keep pushing through it and finish them off quickly!" shouted Braminic as they all used their weapons to kill the Small Flame Blights before having to camp outside of the Keeps front doors.
Upon entering the Caed Nua keep, just up the steps inside was a run down interior and a Shadow and Phantom floating in wait which was expected due to the outside. McStabby took a lot of damage and even the healing coming from the others could not keep him from being knocked down.
So it was the others who had to rely on one another to help finish off the Phantom, before they all helped up McStabby and headed to a throne chair which was imbued with a stewards soul that was also inside the keep in general. Both the steward and the party were looking for Maerwald, so the steward opened some paths that were not accessible before and asked for them to search for Maerwald and let the steward know.
A lot of experience was gained for getting this far into the quest already, which would greatly help get closer to them all leveling and getting even stronger, with better spells and abilities. So they took a break to prepare a plan for whenever they are ready to continue.
