From scrolls to temples
Grimda from the Hall of Revealed Mysteries has taken to hiring TheGoliath's party to recover the scroll of wael which had been stolen by a group of thieves.
"Don't worry, I will return with the scroll once I slay those thieving bastards!" announced TheGoliath as the party went to take off and headed for the Woodend Plains where they were last seen around an abandoned homestead.
Out in the Woodend Plains it wasn't long until they found and were attacked by the thieving bandits who were a tough mob to face. Druids and others classes of enemies made it a fun and rewarding fight.
TheGoliath cast Noxious Burst which was a new spell and one that did some nice area damage while poisoning the enemies over time for additional damage, while Hiravias went cat form and engaged in melee and the others all attacked and proved the superior party in strength.
Upon collecting the scroll off one of the dead bodies a voice was heard. It was telling TheGoliath to lose it again and that it should be buried, over at Black Meadow under the drake facing easts skull.
This was a choice that was easy to be made, to appease what is a god that could talk to him over the person that gave the quest and just explain to Grimda why he had to do what he did. So bury it is what he did and he felt good about what outcome was going to come from his actions.
Luckily after explaining what had happened and Grimda's disbelief as she thought it was nothing more than a yarn, he managed to convince her that it is indeed what the god Wael wanted and it is not strange at all. She was surprised that Wael could still be a mystery after her decades of service to him.
After getting the key to the Elder Archive, the party went inside it to grab the Theorems of Pandgram and presented it to Nedyn for the continued research they promised to do by having it in their possession.
Final stop for today was back in Gilded Vale at the Temple of Eothas which they had thought to just be the Catacombs in the past.
They rang the bells in the right order starting with the smaller right bell, then middle large bell, then smaller left bell then back to the smaller right bell and that was the right order to open the door to travel in further.
What lied down on the next level was now an easy task as the party had gotten stronger compared to all these Shadows in this temple, which only required normal attacks to defeat them and claim some valuable loot.
It was ending up a quick run to finish off this quest in finding the remains of the dead that were left here and even the Ooze were really weak and easy to take out, so it was a nice break for them.
"Thankfully we have had a nice day today with a lot of questing being completed and the runs going well" announced Eder.
After reaching the final room which contained the remains of the deceased and being contacted by a spirit about what happened, they collected the remains to take back to Wirtan.
TheGoliath questioned him about it and to get the truth said from Wirtan's own words and he finally admitted the truth... The party could have killed him for what he did but it was decided to spare him if Wirtan would make amends as best he could by starting with burying the remains in their rightful place and tell those closest to the deceased.
It was the end of the quest and this day was nearing its end as well. The party rested at the inn for a night before a day off and then they would eventually get back to it as there is much more to be done yet!
