Finishing quests and clearing enemies before Farmer's Coast and possible tough fights
After taking the time out to sell off some loot and gain valuable coins, claiming bounty rewards and hitting the Sun Temple to get some additional spells that are a higher rank, Octharg headed to see Yerai Dal'Terrowin and talk about finishing his quest and what was next.
"So you are wanting to become this machine? Or at least be a part of it so you can explore in style?" asked Octharg before being told it was all about having a working machine to help benefit everyday life and protection against all the nasty creatures in the land.
At least now the quest was turned in and the wonderful rewards including 450 gold, a master handicraft skill book and the experience to hit level 24 had been gained, he was able to level up his power once again. Then a new quest was accepted to help find a power core, one buried and hidden deep within a place and for a long time as well. Octharg agreed though and would have to meet Pahtira at some point to help get the energy core for Yerai.
Next step in getting some extra strength through levels and experience, is down in the Old Waterworks in the Undercity.
The Undercity is the slums of Ark where all the poor and bottom of the lower class people live, which always made Octharg uneasy due to risk of illness or disease if not careful. So he rushed to the Old Waterworks and found his bounty target, Maulus 'The Strangler' Pawdance and with help of the Fire Elemental, they made light work of him and the couple of nearby bandits.
Was a quick and easy run in, kill, run out and receive the bounty reward so he could move on to a few other things he wanted to do and then head to a harder area again, maybe the Farmer's Coast for a tougher bounty kill.
Gold is a plenty in Octharg's pockets and storage which will keep growing, to afford those expensive higher ranked spells that will be obtained once he can find the ones unavailable in Ark, the forbidden ones.
Floorhammer's Forge Work was a stop while here in Ark; "These gold emerald rings are going to get me some nice gold when I sell them and I can use other rings for future enchantments" he thought to himself while smithing at the forge. All that was left would be visiting Erbgoth's Leather Goods to sell any other items to free up some space and then head back out again.
Not too far away from Ark in a location previously traveled but possible places undiscovered, our villain finds the Lighthouse of Western Cliff which had not bee explored yet. It was swarming with Wild Mages, one up on the stairs and the others down the bottom and off to the side a bit more.
"Take this you weak mage!" he shouted as he destroyed the one on the stairs before proceeding up the lighthouse and opening a massive chest for some loot.
He headed back down to be greeted by another Wild Mage, one that did a bit of damage to him before being killed, then heading down to the bottom saw more attack Octharg. They put up a decent fight but he managed to drain the life of the last one as it lowered the protective magic ward.
After this would be walking along the previously dangerous path not too far from the lighthouse but among some mountains, said to once again have those enemies he had once killed.
"I sense an eerie feeling around this spot, must be the fact I have dealt with this situation before."
He saw three wisps in the distance just like the last time, the rumours of enemies being here again were true. Octharg shot a fire arrow at one for a sneak critical damage to weaken one, luring them his way so it could focus on the Fire Elemental. Each of them were taken out easily due to fire being something they are weak against.
Further along the path were even more Wisps which were taken out swiftly as they rushed towards the pair of them. Flame Bite is rank IV which meant a dual cast would see quick damage output and allow moving up the path to take out the enemies at this and the next towers.
At the first tower was a Wild Mage and Elemental Wolf of fire, so there was a lot of fire and stuff going about all over the place, including the swinging battleaxe to drain some life while slaughtering the wolf and mage, not too tough of a fight and not having focus on Octharg at first saved him that is for sure.
Finally at the next tower before a stop to take a breath and relax, another Wild Mage was accompanied by a Soil Elemental which was always a nuisance to deal with. It managed to get Octharg's health right down before he regained it with the trusty Life Absorption dual cast. After killing the Soil Elemental, it was flame cloak and life draining time for the Wild Mage, showing him the forever growing real power of the Destroyer!
Once all that ordeal and fighting was over with and some relaxing time had passed, Octharg moved to a couple of locations West of Riverville for some minor things. First he killed some bandits which got him level 25, plus some components he needs to create a soul bound talisman. Then he took the master skull he got as a reward for turning in a previous quest, to the Ancient Circle of the Lost Ones to balance on his head and wait by the altar once it hit midnight. This gained a quality but special blueprint and some experience.
Last but not least was to create the talisman. It was to make an apparition of an Unlucky Vagrant soul that was bound to it, then given a spectral version of the iron greatsword of flames to use. Luckily Octharg could summon both him and the Fire Elemental at the same time which would become a needed and most likely, very deadly force that could help him achieve his ultimate goal!
"Finally things are coming together well and I will get my revenge soon enough. For now I need to head to the Farmer's Coast and get to killing stronger enemies!" he said before letting out an evil laugh and heading to Farmer's Coast.
