➤ I have never been a fan of simulation games, although there are some that are very good, my curiosity for Euro Truck came when I started to hear that it is a pretty calm game and where to spend our time in a quiet way, relax a little and just let the hours pass, something I've been needing lately because I don't have much to do these days more than the typical, so I've been pretty bored. And another thing is that I also like to learn a little more about all the necessary concepts when it comes to driving, which this game does very well, it's not so boring to drive trucks after all.
➤ The only thing I don't like about the game is that it doesn't let me take screenshots with the Driver video capturer because it says that the content is copyrighted, so it forces me to do it with the Steam capturer which lowers the quality of the pictures a lot. The start of the game is very direct and simple, we will have to create a profile where we have our name and choose an avatar, a specific truck and even the name and logo of our company, because according to what is explained just start our goal in the game is to have our own trucking company. I called my company "Corocoros en Ruedas", it is the name of a very typical fish of my city, it made me laugh. There is quite a variety of icons to choose from and I like that a lot. After this we will choose how we want to drive our truck, from an automatic or synchronous system, or a fully automatic system, since it is differentiated between "realistic automatic" and "simple automatic", which is just pressing the keys to move forward, without the need to make changes.
➤ It is quite realistic when using our truck in synchronous because we will have to make the shifts perfectly as we would do it in real life. There is also another function called H-shift, but for that one you need a joystick or a steering wheel. In fact most people recommend playing it with either of these two for a better experience.
➤ At the beginning we can choose a small tutorial to familiarize ourselves with the controls, although what I don't like is that on the keyboard most of the keys are unconfigured and there are several functions that we lose if we don't do it manually. At the beginning I was completely lousy at driving, I crashed horribly trying to get out of the place where I was and what makes me laugh is that as the game is set in Europe, the streets and directions are different from here, so I got confused and went the wrong way and I got several fines XD.
➤ Our goal will be to make orders with our trucks to different companies, so we will be based on carrying different goods, the money earned will be used to buy our own truck and enhance our company, at first we have no truck so we work for others. At the time of being inside the truck apart from the obvious realism when driving, we will have to make use of all the basics, from speed, mirrors and how to cross the roads correctly. Also get used to the change of direction of the streets of Europe, to make it easier to see the mirrors we can change the place where we are to appear, as sometimes see the mirror opposite the steering wheel is difficult. We can put them in both directions, but I would recommend to put it only in the opposite direction to the steering wheel. We will also have our small GPS that will indicate the location and in which we can see our goal, and see the status of our truck, the damage it has suffered and even our emails and messages.
➤ The orders can be very long, there are even trips that can take us up to 30 minutes, and that's just the beginning of the game, the longer the trip we will earn more money. We will also have a small system of skills when leveling up, where we can specialize in different things, such as fragile goods, dangerous goods, long trips, saving gasoline, and many other things. The fastest way to get experience is when we finish an assignment, as we can choose between parking the truck in easy or hard way to gain more experience, or just skip this and not gain anything. The difficult parking is a nuisance, you have to park the truck in reverse most of the time and it is too tedious, mostly because of the load that always moves when we go in reverse and we have to have very good control of our movements, it is something strange because even if you are in a straight line the load will deviate, but at least that will give us more experience and also serve to increase our reputation, which is necessary for better jobs.
➤ When driving we can suffer different adversities, such as heavy traffic and roadblocks, or heavy rains where we will lose a lot of vision. Similarly we will have to comply with almost all laws, do not exceed the speed on the roads, use the dipped headlights when changing lanes or turn to a specific road, because otherwise everything goes crazy and you crash, turn on our lights when it is getting dark or getting dark, failure to comply with any of these things can give us a fine. And I insist, while driving everything is very realistic and we have to be very attentive to everything we do. Something very funny is the existence of pedestrians and even problems on the road like crashes or things like that.

➤ Graphically speaking the game seems incredible to me, it is very well detailed, from our truck to all the cars outside, which are very varied and we will also see endless trucks carrying different goods through the streets. The environment feels very good and the landscapes are also very nice, although sometimes they feel generic, the lights, shadows and reflections are great details that the game has, one of the things that I like the most is the water, although very few times we will find small ponds or rivers. The sunsets are beautiful and the night is where I like to drive the most, everything is very nice. Along with this we can also make use of different viewing angles, from first person to many variations in third person.

➤ One of the things I like the most is the implementation of the rest system, along with the fuel system. Many times at the time of having long trips we will be forced to obviously load the gasoline of our truck, but in addition to this our character will also feel tired so we will have to rest in small stalls that we will find at the gas station, along with this we will also make it the next day, for example if it is night and we do not want to drive like that, we sleep and it will be day, but this will subtract hours from the trip and can make us get paid less for the delay. It is an advantage/disadvantage. But to me this seems like a very good addition, it makes us be attentive also to our truck and ourselves.
➤ When it comes to running our business there are many things we have to take into account. First we have to improve our garages and buy our own trucks to put people to work for us to generate better income, and then buy more and more trucks and more garages to store them in. Our initial garage has only 1 space so we will have to improve it. For this we can wait to save our money or ask for a loan from the bank, which we will pay in small fractions every day. I saved money until I unlocked the $400,000 loan and ended up upgrading the garage, buying two trucks and hiring a guy to work for me. For this we will have to explore the world in search of recruitment agencies and even dealerships where to get better trucks or offers, we will also have a fairly wide and free exploration, in fact the map is gigantic.

➤ Nunca he sido un fanático de los juegos de simulación, aunque sí hay unos que son muy buenos, mi curiosidad por Euro Truck vino cuando comencé a escuchar que es un juego bastante calmado y donde pasar nuestros tiempo de forma tranquila, relajarnos un poco y simplemente dejar que pasen las horas, algo que ando necesitando últimamente pues no tengo mucho que hacer en estos días más que lo típico, así que he estado bastante aburrido. Y otra cosa es que también me gusta aprender un poco más sobre todos los conceptos necesarios a la hora de manejar, cosa que este juego hace muy bien, no es tan aburrido manejar camiones después de todo.
➤ Lo único que no me gusta del juego es que no me deja tomar captures con la capturadora del Driver de video porque dice que el contenido está protegido por derechos de autor, así que me obliga a hacerlo con la capturadora de Steam la cual baja mucho la calidad de las fotos. El inicio del juego es muy directo y sencillo, tendremos que crearnos un perfil donde tener nuestro nombre y elegiremos un avatar, algún camión en específico e incluso el nombre y logo de nuestra empresa, pues según lo que se explica apenas empezar nuestro objetivo dentro del juego es tener nuestra propia empresa de camiones. A mi empresa la llamé "Corocoros en Ruedas", es el nombre de un pescado muy típico de mi ciudad, me dio risa. Hay bastantes variedad de iconos para elegir y eso me gusta mucho. Ya luego de esto pasaremos a elegir cómo queremos manejar nuestro camión, desde un sistema automático o sincrónico, o de por si un sistema completamente automático, ya que está diferenciado entre "automático realista" y "automático sencillo", el cual es solo presionar las teclas para avanzar, sin necesidad de hacer cambios.
➤ Es bastante realista a la hora de utilizar nuestro camión en sincrónico pues tendremos que hacer los cambios a la perfección tal cual como lo haríamos en la vida real. También hay otra función llamada palanca de cambios en H, pero para esa se necesita un joystick o un volante. De hecho la mayoría de las personas recomiendan jugarlo con cualquiera de estos dos para una mejor experiencia.
➤ Al principio podemos elegir un pequeño tutorial para familiarizarnos con los controles, aunque lo que no me gusta es que en teclado la mayor parte de las teclas están desconfiguradas y hay varias funciones que perdemos si no lo hacemos de forma manual. Al principio fui completamente pésimo manejando, me choqué horriblemente intentando salir del lugar donde estaba y lo que me da risa es que como el juego está ambientado en Europa, las calles y las direcciones son distintas a las de aquí, así que me confundí y fui por la via contraria y me pusieron varias multas XD.
➤ Nuestro objetivo será hacer encargos con nuestros camiones a distintas empresas, así que nos basaremos en llevar distintas mercancias, el dinero ganado lo utilizaremos para comprarnos nuestro propio camión y potenciar nuestra empresa, al principio no tenemos camión así que trabajamos para los demás. A la hora de estar dentro del camión aparte del obvio realismo a la hora de manejar, tendremos que hacer uso de todos los conceptos básicos, desde la velocidad, los retrovisores y cómo cruzar las carreteras de forma correcta. También acostumbrarnos a el cambio de dirección de las calles de Europa, para hacer más fácil la visión de los retrovisores podremos modificar el lugar donde quedamos que aparezcan, ya que a veces ver por el retrovisor opuesto al volante es difícil. Podemos ponerlos en ambas direcciones, pero yo recomendaría ponerlo solo en la dirección opuesta al volante. También tendremos nuestro pequeño GPS que nos indicará la ubicación y en el cual podremos ver nuestro objetivo, y ver el estado de nuestro camión, los daños que ha sufrido e incluso nuestros correos y mensajes.
➤ Los encargos pueden ser muy largos, incluso hay viajes que pueden llegarnos a tomar hasta más de 30 minutos, y eso que apenas es el inicio del juego, mientras más largo sea el viaje ganaremos más dinero. También tendremos un pequeño sistema de habilidades a la hora de subir nivel, donde podremos especializarnos en distintas cosas, como mercancias frágiles, mercancias peligrosas, viajes largos, ahorro de gasolina, y muchas cosas más. La forma más rápida de conseguir experiencia es cuando terminamos un encargo, pues podemos elegir entre estacionar el camión de forma fácil o difícil para ganar más experiencia, o simplemente saltar esto y no ganar nada. El estacionamiento difícil es un fastidio, hay que estacionar el camión en reversa la mayor parte de las veces y es demasiado tedioso, más que todo por la carga que siempre se mueve cuando vamos en reverse y hay que tener muy buen control de nuestros movimientos, es algo extraño porque aunque estés en linea recta la carga se desviará, pero al menos eso nos dará más experiencia y también servirá para aumentar nuestra reputación, la cual es necesaria para mejores trabajos.
➤ A la hora de manejar podremos sufrir distintas adversidades, como grandes tráficos y bloqueos en la carretera, o lluvias bastante fuertes donde perderemos mucha visión. De igual forma tendremos que hacer cumplimiento de casi todas las leyes, no exceder la velocidad en las vías, usar las luces de cruce a la hora de cambiar de carril o girar a una carretera en específica, porque si no todo se vuelven loco y te chocan, encender nuestras luces cuando esté atardeciendo o haciéndose de noche, el incumplimiento de cualquiera de estas cosas puede darnos una multa. E insisto, mientras manejamos todo es muy realista y tenemos que estar muy atentos de cada cosa que hagamos. Algo muy divertido es la existencia de peatones y de incluso problemas en la carretera como choques o cosas así.

➤ Gráficamente hablando el juego me parece increíble, está muy bien detallado, desde nuestro camión a todos los coches de nuestro exterior, los cuales son muy variados y también veremos infinidades de camiones cargando distintas mercancias por las calles. El ambiente se siente muy bien y los paisajes también son muy bonitos, aunque algunas veces se sientan genéricos, las luces, las sombras y los reflejos son grandes detalles que tiene el juego, una de las cosas que más me gusta como se ve es el agua, aunque muy pocas veces encontraremos pequeñas lagunas o ríos. Los atardeceres son hermosos y la noche es donde más me gusta manejar, todo es muy bonito. Junto a esto también podremos hacer uso de distintos ángulos de visión, desde primera persona hasta muchas variaciones en tercera persona.

➤ Una de las cosas que más me gustan es la implementación del sistema de descanso, junto al sistema de gasolina. Muchas veces a la hora de tener viajes largos nos veremos obligados a obviamente cargar la gasolina de nuestro camión, pero además de esto nuestro personaje también se sentirá cansado así que deberemos descansar en pequeños puestos que encontraremos en la gasolinera, junto a esto también haremos que se haga el día siguiente, por ejemplo si es de noche y no queremos manejar así, dormimos y se hará de día, pero esto nos restará horas del viaje y puede hacer que nos paguen menos por la tardanza. Es una ventaja/desventaja. Pero a mí esto me parece un muy buen añadido, hace que estemos atentos también de nuestro camión y de nosotros mismos.
➤ A la hora de manejar nuestra empresa hay muchas cosas que tenemos que tener en cuenta. Primero la mejora de nuestros garaje y comprar nuestros propios camiones para poner a gente a trabajar por nosotros y así generar mejores ingresos, y sucesivamente ir comprando más y más camiones y más garajes donde guardarlos. Nuestro garaje inicial apenas cuenta con 1 espacio así que tendremos que mejorarlo. Para esto podemos esperar a ahorrar con nuestro dinero o pedir un prestamo al banco, el cual iremos pagando en pequeñas fracciones cada día. Yo ahorré dinero hasta que desbloqueé el préstamo de 400000$ y terminé mejorando el garaje, comprando dos camiones y contratando a un tipo para que trabaje para mí. Para esto tendremos que explorar por el mundo en busca de agencias de contratación e incluso concesionarios donde obtener mejores camiones u ofertas, también contaremos con una exploración bastante amplia y libre, de hecho el mapa es gigante.
➤ Hasta ahora es un juego que me ha dejado muy sorprendido y también me ha viciado un poco, me gusta mucho y es una buena forma de quemar mis horas de aburrimiento, y sentirme un empresario por completo. Muchas gracias por haber leído, ¡nos vemos en el próximo post!
