Hello Hive family and Gamers of the community, how are you doing? I hope you are super well and welcome to a new post made by me for the largest community of Gamers on the internet, this time I will talk about one of the best games of the Gamecube to play with family, it is also one of the best I've seen graphically, with an endearing atmosphere and soundtracks that go very well with the game that personally gives me many memories of my childhood.

Previously I talked about the Mario Party saga but I only highlighted two games that I played, these Mario Party games are the Nintendo DS version and the original, two games that gave me many hours of fun but none other than the one I will talk about next, is one of the best Mario Party to date.

Today I will talk about Mario Party 7, an adventure game on a board that surely more than one of you must have a smile and a free rage, this game was the last to be released annually, the Mario Party series since 1998 released their games with a difference of a year with the predecessors, let's say that the original Mario Party was released in 1998, the second in 1999, the third in 2000 and so on.

Mario Party 7 was released in 2005, it was the last one released for the Nintendo Gamecube so it was also the best Mario Party on the console for its graphic finish, when I was little the game seemed very realistic, I was always impressed with the atmosphere and with the minigames too.

Now that I see it today, I can say that it is a game that has aged well over time, about two years ago I tried it again and I was just as impressed as I was as a child, even more, if you try the game on a flat-screen TV, I dare to say that it is one of the 10 best graphics video games of the Gamecube I've seen.

But let's start talking about what this Mario Party is about. In Mario Party 7 the plot takes place on a cruise ship Mario and his friends decide to take a vacation. However, Toadworth appears to invite Mario to a new game of Mario Party on a luxury cruise, Mario of course accepts and invites the other characters of the game to set sail for a new adventure.

The first time I played it, or rather I saw my relatives playing it, I thought the ship had wings, haha and the truth is that it was propelled by the koopas under the boat with oars they were slaves or something, also for those years I had a lot of mine to the sea, so whenever my cousins introduced the video game in the Gamecube it always gave me chills when it started and the main menu came out, you could see the ship sailing in a lonely sea, I always thought it could sink at any time, I don't know it was weird haha.

One of the things I liked the most about Mario Party 7 was the number of characters we had available, 8 initially which are: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Daisy, Wario, Toad, and Waluigi. But the most interesting thing is the availability of hidden characters, that notice these characters I never saw them again in another installment of Mario Party, not even in the most recent installments, that's why I value the game, even more, these characters are Birdo, Toadette, Boo, and Bones.

These four characters that I just mentioned, as far as I know, were not seen again in the Mario Party saga, a pity, these characters were unlocked through a store, I do not remember exactly the currency that had to be used, but the fact is that you had to get a certain amount to unlock a certain character, what I remember for sure is that the hidden characters had different prices, I think the cheapest was Toadette and the most expensive was Bones.

Source

To get the coins you had to complete two game modes, solo mode and party mode, between these two modes there is only one difference which is in the number of participants, in the solo mode if I'm not mistaken, we had only one opponent and to win you had to reach a certain point on the map, like a race so that we understand each other.

This first mode is very short and my cousins did not like to play it, that's why we never managed to unlock all the characters or all the items, the Party mode was much more interesting and longer of course, here if you had to compete against three opponents, the difficulty increases as we move forward in the game, to win you had to finish the turns and the one who had the most stars wins if there is a tie of stars the method to break the tie was the number of coins, in that case, the one who had more coins wins.

Something that brings back a lot of memories of my childhood when my family played Mario Party 7 was the minigames, maybe they are not the best of the franchise, but they marked something in me, many of those minigames gave me numerous laughs, as well as nightmares at night haha.

What I find incredible is that in most of the minigames all vs all, the screen was divided into four parts, as if it were a classic racing video game, I remember a minigame that was a haunted house, the goal was to get into it and get out before the others do, this minigame gave me a lot of fear when I was little, it is said that I even screamed while playing haha.

Source

The positive side is that there were many fun minigames, for example, I remember one where we had to run through a treadmill and we had to jump over obstacles to avoid falling into a trash can, the unusual thing about this minigame is that the treadmill would not stop until there was only one player left in the race, so possibly the one who always had the best resistance in his fingers won haha.

There are many more mini-games but I'm not going to describe them all I want to play this great videogame again, what I can mention is that the boards in Mario Party 7 are represented as islands in the pacific, in total we have 6 islands to visit which are:

Source

Grand Canal, a city located on a beach, although its streets remind me a lot of Venice because of the amount of water in the area, the second island is Pagoda Peak, a city-based on ancient China with super beautiful mountains and waterfalls, the third island is Pyramid Park, as its name says it is a park where the main attraction is a pyramid in a desert.

The fourth is Neon Heights, a city at night where there are many neon lights, casinos, and traps that will take your coins Las Vegas-style, the fifth is Windmillville which is a small village located in a meadow in front of a river, is the flattest area of the game, and finally, we have the island of Bowser, this island is lava, with numerous castles and traps on the ground, is the most treacherous area of the game.

Well, Hive family and Gamers brothers, I hope you liked it a lot this post, Mario Party 7 is one of the best video games of the saga, in my opinion, is the best because it keeps the essence of a classic Mario Party combined with the improved mechanics of the new generations, is a game that I recommend to be with friends and family and is not very frustrating.
