[ESP-ENG] Why is Bloodborne the best game I've ever played?

It is no news that From Software is one of the best video game developers today, it brought us games that are characterized in having a very high difficulty as the trilogy of Dark Souls and Demon Souls, they are currently working on an ambitious game called "Elden Ring".

The game was developed together with Japan Studio and unfortunately for many it is a Playstation 4 exclusive, so not everyone has the opportunity to play it. Although currently there are ways to play it.

Introduction:

Next I will give a brief introduction of the game, I will not comment the whole story since the post is about my opinion of it but I will give a small idea of the game.

Bloodborne takes us into an adventure in the Victorian era based on the books of H.P Lovecraft, where we find ourselves in the gothic city of Yharnam in which a curse is wiping out the population and turning them into beasts. We are a hunter who has just arrived in the city just on the night of hunting and our goal is to kill the beasts that surround the city and find a solution to this epidemic. As we progress, the story becomes more and more complex.

My first experience playing Bloodborne.

It was my first time playing a game of the souls saga, my brother had bought it, I did not understand very well what it was about, nor had I ever played a game of this genre. I opened the game on my console and I started to play without having much faith because it was not my style of game.

I was impressed at the beginning where the game teaches you what other games do not do, here from the first minute you have to learn that you are going to die too many times, from each death you learn and form new strategies to advance in the game. I remember dying more than 20 times before reaching the first boss of the area and I thought about quitting.

It is a game where you can not take a breath, you take a wrong step and you get a big scare, you are being ambushed by a large number of enemies, which are difficult to defeat and surely make us replay the area.

**The immersion in the game at the beginning, the atmosphere that permeates the city of Yharnam and its impressive architecture, soundtrack and graphics.
When we left the clinic Iosefka we find a spectacular atmosphere, an excellent soundtrack very consistent with what is lived in Yharnam and some creatures or abominations that will cause us some terror the first time we play. Nobody tells us what to do, we have to follow a path surrounded by enemies and traps. Not only I want to highlight the city of Yharnam only that is the icing on the cake, we find an incredible variety of scenarios very well connected and with a sublime atmosphere.

When we reach the first boss we will find an incredible soundtrack, although we will realize that all the effort we did farming all the area to reach it was in vain, the first boss of bloodborne (although optional) is one of the most difficult and makes many abandon in their first game.

Its peculiar way of telling the story.

One of the strongest points that Bloodborne has, is that as soon as you finish the introduction you start in a clinic without any instruction of what to do, so throughout the game. We will advance and we will find several NPC's that rarely interact with us and tell us their story or what is happening in Yharnam. As in all souls, the story nobody introduces us to this, we learn it after reading descriptions of objects, talk to npc's or be attentive to various details, is what makes the souls games different from others. I remember the first time I finished the game I had not finished understanding the story of the game, that's The magic of this game is that it is unpredictable and that all the time what happens in the world of Bloodborne keeps leaving us with questions.

Its gameplay unlike the other souls and its replayability over time.

Unlike its predecessors and predecessors Bloodborne, has a much more frenetic, fast and fun gameplay. Where the reflex will be key to dodge the attacks of the bosses and to defeat them.

When you finish the game you can rethink uninstall it and not play it anymore, but the game gives you an option called New Game Plus, is to play the game again but each time you pass it is even more difficult, the enemies do more damage and the bosses sometimes kill you with a single blow. I passed the game more than 6 times with the three endings that are presented. But it is not only there, but we have options to play one of the dlc's that in my opinion is one of the most difficult of all video games. In addition we have to play unlimited dungeons that although they always have a certain resemblance and perhaps at some point become repetitive you always find a surprise.

Next I will name some other strong points that I did not name and the few defects that I find.

Strong points:

  • Its impressive story and immersion in it.
  • NPC's with very interesting stories.
  • Incredible boss designs.
  • Logic in the connections of scenarios unlike others in the series.
  • DLC's that will give us several hours of gameplay.
  • Many hidden areas and secrets to discover
  • More than 100 hours of gameplay.
The only bad points that I find:
  • Little variety of weapons although there are quite complete.
  • Little variety of armor and the fact that almost all are the same except for some minimal statistics that change.
  • That the game ends.

I could spend hours talking about the good things about Bloodborne but I don't want to steal all of your time
Before finishing the post, I would like that in the comments you tell your experience in the game and if you consider it one of the best that you played in your life.
