Who does not know Jurassic Park?, the mythical film of the 90's that to this day continues on the big screen with multiple sequels, following the continuation of such a wonderful fictional story. By virtue of its success, the Jurassic Park video game was born, although this time I will be talking about Jurassic Park 2, a title that shares a non-canonical history of the film known to many of us.

The video game initially gives us a line that tells the version of the events to put us in context, it should be noted that this animation is quite remarkable, giving voice to each character and with visual effects that are quite good to be 16 bits, at the time it was one of the first video games that I watched with these characteristics.

The InGen boss: John Hammond sends two of his special agents to Jurassic Park in order to regain control of the island, a place that has been invaded by the BioSyn agency, the mission in the game is quite complicated, because he would have to regain control of the island having to deal with armed humans and Prehistoric Dinosaurs.

ARMA INFINITA.png

At our disposal we had a total of 6 weapons, to access them we could press "L" to see in the upper left part of our screens how the lethal weapons rotated, and if we pressed "R" we could see the non-lethal weapons, in both types Of weapons we had the option of one with infinite ammunition, something quite useful because we could not worry about that aspect.

Graphically the game was quite good, but its greatest potential was in the musical setting section, something absolutely distinguished, I would even dare to say that to date it was the game with the best musical setting so far, the soundtracks that were they could appreciate in the background they were totally monumental, we could simply delight ourselves with this aspect of the game, something that ended up falling in love from the first bars of the game.

MISIONES.png

The game presented 6 different missions and they could be completed in any order, when overcoming a mission, some other missions were enabled so having "6" missions was somewhat hypothetical, it should be noted that the game was not simple at all, We needed a great experience to know where to go in each mission and which enemies appeared in each section of the game, because despite having health bonuses and weapons scattered throughout each world, they were never quite enough, or at least not enough. they were for an average gamer.

DINOS.png

Within Jurassic Park 2 we could climb and climb as the case may be, these aspects were fair and necessary for the title, at the top we had a dinosaur counter, since among our missions was the fact of not killing the dinosaurs but only neutralize them with non-lethal weapons, in case of killing an excessive amount, the game automatically ended.

DANGER.png

We could not spend a whole life in each level, so if we took too long, a countdown counter would appear that marked the final time to complete the mission, in case of not doing it we would lose immediately, this used to be a problem when we did not we knew the game well, as it was impossible for us to complete missions in which we had no clue where to go. The game also had a password system that allowed us to ensure the progress of our games, although in the game there were some tricks that could be activated, the most popular of all being that of activating the "infinite continuation" mode where We could just lose as many times as we wanted and we would never have a game over.

TREPAR.png

Despite being a non-canonical story, it offered great entertainment, especially for its graphics that dazzled with great pixel art and its musical section with soundtracks that made us feel like part of the Jurassic Park movie.
