[LETS PLAY] Wildermyth: The Enduring War - Chapter 1

I've been looking to challenge myself and learn more about what platforms like PeakD are capable of by starting some sort of group storytelling project. I've wrote way to many pages of stories I'm not happy with so I figured, "why not a let's play?".

As I've been having a ball with the unique storytelling present in Wildermyth it seemed like a no brainer for my first Let's Play ever!

While we'd normally start at the beginning of any story Wildermyth uses a unique generational storytelling system so, instead, we're going to do a bit of a Prologue chapter to the story and get to know everyone involved!

But before we do, I just have to do what's right here and shout out Wildermyth. It's a uniquely amazing game and deserves to be an even bigger success than it already is. If you enjoy this series at all I strongly encourage you to head on over to Steam and pick up Wildermyth right now!

To throw MORE gas on this fire we will be playing on Carved In Stone to really crank up the tension. Now, without any further adu, The Enduring War!

One thousand years earlier, Ryvhad the tinkerer works alone in his workshop. The note before him reads "Ryvhad, The initial limbs were a success, and I am confident the premise is sound. The thought of that sickness taking you first is too much to bear. We can ride this out together. We can endure.".

Angrily, he crumples the note.

The party sat, as they so often found themselves doing, telling stories about childhood.

"Huh. "Nightjaw" was always our go-to thread growing up. Now *that *was a Monster!"

Until suddenly!

All around them stood Morthagi, monstrous amalgam of bone flesh, metal, and anger. Thankfully our party found themselves up to the challenge and, before long, they found themselves safe. As so often would happen the great moment transitioned as an argument broke out. If the the Morthagi are back someone is going to stand against them and, if not us than who?

All agreed, we are heroes now, but what to call ourselves? After many hours of arguing they were able to come to a name...

Alas, it came time for the Agents to leave the humble walls of Swinebarn. To the south the Thomas Mountains blocked all travel so North it is. The innocent must be protected and, if this threat is to be thrown back, we must locate the legendary Kyrdonor Foundry, rumored birthplace of our enemies.

On the path out of town the party was able to find another willing set of hands. Tree, a local weirdo, was really fired up about this whole "undead being real" thing. Long story short she refused to take no for an answer. Reaching into a bag of weapons she knew her future was about to be determined.

That's all for this week team! What kind of weapon do you think we should had to Tree? Please comment here with your vote and please follow me to be alerted as soon as we have more news from the crew! I hope that this series is popular but I'm excited to watch it grow over time too!

Thanks so much for reading yall!
