But in this post I will talk about two mid-game bosses which since the first day I faced them have never been erased from my memory thanks to all the difficulties they caused me.

Los héroes y protagonistas siempre se llevan toda la gloria en los videojuegos pero es necesario un o varios buenos villanos y jefes para conseguir esto, por desgracia un aspecto sobre esto es que muchas veces en juegos con varios Jefes los mismo no reciben todo el mérito y quedan algo relegados detrás del jefe final quien siempre suele tener una mayor dificultad y más desarrollo de su historia. Pero en este post hablare sobre dos jefes de mitad de juego los cuales desde el primer día que los enfrente nunca se han borrado de mi memoria gracias a todas las dificultades que me ocasionaron.

Para nadie es un secreto de Dark Souls fácilmente esta entre los videojuegos más complicados de la industria y esto se debe varias de sus mecánicas y su programación la cual una de las más llamativas es el hecho que los jefes y enemigos te causan daño en porcentaje a tu vida haciendo que así realices trucos como obtener almas ilimitadas y llegar a niveles absurdamente altos te sigan derrotando con la misma facilidad que antes. Si bien los enemigos básicos pueden ser complicados, las batallas contra Jefes están a otro nivel y una de las batallas más complicadas de esta saga para mi criterio es contra los Jefes ORNSTEIN El Asesino de Dragones Y SMOUGH El Verdugo los cuales pelean en conjunto y deberemos derrotarlos al mismo tiempo.

Combatir contra dos Jefes al mismo tiempo siempre es complicado pero si se tratan de ORNSTEIN Y SMOUGH el resultado será un duelo que sin dudas recordaras durante mucho tiempo. Esta batalla de jefe la encontramos en la ciudad de Anor Londo donde ellos serán los jefes a derrotar y aunque no se trate de la batalla final del juego, en su lugar esta batalla se encuentra más hacia la mitad del juego, contara con una dificultad desesperante, al igual que en varios combates complicados de Dark Souls podrás realizar invocaciones de NPC como Solaire para que te ayude pero él no será capaz de hacer mucho antes de ser masacrado por este dúo tan complicado. Esta batalla será un gran punto de inflexión en tu partida en donde si fuiste capaz de vencerlos serás capaz de completar el juego de una manera más fácil.

ORNSTEIN Y SMOUGH se complementan muy bien en la batalla tanto con sus habilidades como en sus diseños fantásticos e intimidantes, ORNSTEIN se trata de un caballero en una increíble armadura armado con una lanza y que posee una velocidad increíble mientras que SMOUGH se trata de un ser de gran tamaño algo lento pero armado con una maza gigantesca. Esta batalla sin dudas resulta ser extremadamente complicada al tener que ser capaz de separar a los dos Jefes mientras esquivas los ataques de ambos, recuperas salud e intentas golpearlos al mismo tiempo, sin duda muchas cosas que hacer al mismo tiempo en donde más de una vez te equivocaras y terminaras perdiendo toda tu salud antes de que te des cuenta.

Por si esto fuera poco cuando logras derrotar a alguno de los dos te das cuenta que esta pesadilla de combate no ha hecho más nada que empezar, al derrotar a alguno de los dos veremos mediante una épica cinemática como el superviviente absorbe el poder restante del compañero eliminado y se vuelve mucho más fuerte además de recuperar toda su salud. Algo genial es ver el contraste en como ORNSTEIN le rinde honor a su compañero eliminador tocándolo con su mano de manera respetuosa mientras SMOUGH sin ninguna pena aplasta con su mazo al que fue su compañero en combate para absorber sus habilidades. Si pensabas que por separado eran muy fuertes una vez que cualquiera de ellos pasa a la segunda fase del combate te darás cuenta que la primera fase era mucho fácil en comparación. Además de esto tú no recuperas tu salud y si mueres en esta fase debes comenzar desde la primera lo cual hará que el odio por morir en la segunda fase sea mucho mayor y más si no logras alcanzarla frecuentemente.

En lo personal siempre realice este combate derrotando primero a ORNSTEIN ya que si permitías que el absorbiera la fuerza de SMOUGH será prácticamente imparable. Esta batalla es sin lugar a dudas de las batallas de jefes más complicadas o incluso la más complicada de todas. La primera vez que los derrote me tomo cerca de 4-5 días para vencer en donde me propuse seriamente dejar el juego y es por esto que lo considero el punto de quiebre en donde una vez lo superas el resto del juego será cuesta abajo. Recuerdo perfectamente las rabias que me provoco esta batalla y como en muchas de las muertes que recibí terminaba gritando mi frustración e insultado a todo pulmón a este par que tantas veces me vencieron, esto provoco varias quejas en mi casa producto de mis gritos e insultos inesperados que salían de mi habitación incluso a altas horas de la noche jajaja, en serio es de la batalla de Jefe que más ha logrado sacarme de mis cabales y por el mismo motivo la que nunca olvidare y la cual siempre será la primera cosa que se me viene a la mente cuando oigo sobre batallas de Jefes complicadas.
