Ha pasado algo de tiempo desde que publique sobre un videojuego retro que jugaba cuando niño, son muchos los recuerdos en la vida de un gamer, sobre todo si ya llegamos a cierta edad. Hoy vuelvo a abrir el baúl de los recuerdos para comentarles sobre un videojuego con una larga trayectoria y que si bien lo jugué cuando apenas era un niño también tengo una versión (obviamente más actualizada) en mi consola PS3. El día de hoy quiero hablarle sobre un videojuego o mas bien una serie de videojuegos bastante conocidos desde hace varias décadas atrás pero aun no tiene limites en cuanto a años de vida, les comentaré sobre Marvel Vs Capcom.
Recuerdos de Finales de los 90's y Principios de los 2000's
Marvel:
Al igual que muchos crecì viendo mas series animadas de Marvel, recuerdo que me encantaba los X-Men, su caricatura llena de acción, explosiones y superpoderes le hacia resaltar del resto, era un programa que pasaban en la televisión todas las tardes y para mi era algo imperdible, ver a los X-Men era algo fantástico para aquellos días. Otro de esos héroes que vi por televisión mucho tiempo fue Spider-Man, era una serie animada bastante entretenida y desde niño me gustaba ver y por supuesto jugar videojuegos de superhéroes.
De pequeño conocí muchos otros héroes de Marvel como Hulk o Iron-Man, sin embargo, en mi región para esos años no había mucha influencia de los comics en nuestra cultura a diferencia de hoy en día por lo cual la afinidad se concentraba en los X-Men y uno que otro superhéroe como Spider-Man. Esa influencia cultural se trasmitía en los videojuegos por lo cual se conseguían muchos videojuegos de los héroes mencionados que de los otros comics, sin embargo, había un videojuego que los reunía a todos a luchar contra otro grupo de grandes peleadores que si los conocía por los videojuegos.
Capcom:
Como todo niño de la época me encantaba el videojuego Street Fighter, lo tenía en mi SNES e incluso hace algunos meses atrás hablé sobre este videojuego en concreto, era de mis favoritos dentro del género de lucha y por supuesto me encantaban los personajes que esta serie de videojuegos dio a conocer en todo el mundo. Peleadores como Ryu y Ken eran iconos de los videojuegos en aquella época y verlos luchar contra esos personajes que normalmente aparecían en la televisión era algo alucinante. En aquellos días era mucho mas famoso dentro del mundo de los videojuegos los peleadores de Capcom que los de Marvel, pero desde mi perspectiva esa combinación explosiva fue un rotundo éxito que sigue hasta en la actualidad.
Conociendo el Videojuego
Si han revisado mi contenido gaming notarán que muchos de los videojuegos retro los descubrí en aquellos establecimientos donde se pagaba por jugar con las consolas, créanme que para ese momento existían muchos de estos establecimientos y también debo decir que pasaba mucho tiempo en ellos por lo cual jugué una infinidad de videojuegos incluyendo clásicos como Marvel Vs Capcom.
El primer videojuego de esta serie que jugué fue el que se lanzó en el año 1997 (Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter) recuerdo haberlo jugado en una Ps1 con mis compañeros de videojuegos, era un videojuego alucinante pero que también podía ser algo confuso al principio. En definitiva Marvel vs Capcom es ese tipo de videojuego que cuando no sabes jugar o eres solo un niño presionas todos los botones a la vez con la esperanza de que una combinación de ataque o un superpoder elimine al contrincante, así sufrieron muchos de los mandos o controles de esos sitios de alquiler.
Incluso recuerdo que mis personajes preferidos eran Wolverine, Hulk y ciclope del lado de Marvel, por el bando de Capcom siempre tenia que elegir a Ryu, el cual es mi personaje favorito en toda esa franquicia, sin embargo, todos los personajes en esta serie de videojuegos son excelentes, poderes, fuerza, habilidades, probablemente cualquier jugador tomaría unos cuantos minutos para elegir cuidadosamente con que personaje jugar.
Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter fue un juego que posteriormente pude agregar a mi colección para la consola Ps1, ya había jugado en esos establecimientos e alquiler y era un videojuego a tener en cuenta para cualquier consola. Recuerdo que tuve la versión para Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes lanzada en el año 2000 pero tuvimos algunos problemas posteriormente con el discoduro de la consola, allí se encontraba almacenado este videojuego, sin embargo, varios años después lo puedo jugar en mi PS3 con la versión llamada Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, esta versión del videojuego es lanzado en el año 2011, mas de una década después que esa versión que había jugado en la Xbox, así que reencontrarme con este grandioso videojuego era algo bastante especial para mi.

Me agrada que todas las versiones de Marvel vs Capcom tienen la misma esencia, compartiendo características similares luego de tantos años desde que comenzó esta serie de videojuegos, se podría decir que es básicamente el mismo videojuego congelado en el tiempo pero con una mejor resolución y calidad gráfica, agregando uno que otro detalle pero sin perder esa esencia que lo caracterizó a finales de los años 90`s.
Sigue siendo ese tipo de videojuego que si invitas a alguien a jugar que nunca ha jugado Marvel vs Capcom probablemente presiones los botones como un desquiciado y logre realizar una combinación de ataque importante. Es un juego que capta la atención con su simplicidad pero que al mismo tiempo otorga entretenimiento a los jugadores sobre todo si jugamos con nuestros superhéroes favoritos.
Conclusión
Marvel vs Capcom es un videojuego simple pero al mismo tiempo entretenido, en ese sentido hablo básicamente en referencia a todas sus versiones, su atractivo principal es reunir un grupo de peleadores fantásticos que hacen de la batalla algo épico, tanto en el mundo de los comics, pasando por los videojuegos y ahora afianzado en el cine en caso de los personajes del universo de Marvel estos peleadores no necesitan una carta de presentación para saber quienes son, esto también es una característica compartida con los personajes de Street Fighter desarrollados hace ya mas de 30 años por la compañía Capcom. Es ese tipo de videojuego que no necesita mucho almacenamiento para poder jugarlo así que en mi caso siempre lo tengo como una opción para cualquier consola.
En mi opinión jugar Marvel vs Capcom es jugar con una pieza de la historia que incluso sobrepasa el mundo de los videojuegos o incluso el cine, creo que ya es parte de nuestra cultura, una adopción cultural en gran parte del planeta porque reúne peleadores desarrollados tanto en occidente (Estados Unidos) como en oriente (Japón), en ese caso no es descabellado decir que jugamos con una pieza de historia cultural de la humanidad.

As a kid I knew many other Marvel heroes like Hulk or Iron-Man, however, in my region for those years there was not much influence of comics in our culture unlike today so the affinity was concentrated in the X-Men and one or another superhero like Spider-Man. Like every kid of the time I loved the Street Fighter video game, I had it on my SNES and even a few months ago I talked about this particular video game, it was one of my favorites within the fighting genre and of course I loved the characters that this video game series made known worldwide.
