¡Hola a todos! Me uno a este concurso de @hivegc que además de divertido vi ya unos juegos increĂbles que mencionaron y no pude dejar de pensar en un montĂłn de videojuegos que me encantan y que juguĂ© hace tanto, pero este definitivamente ganĂł en mis buenos recuerdos. ÂżAdivinan cuál?
Hi everyone! I’m joining the contest by @hivegc that besides fun I saw some entries with incredibles games and I can’t stop thinking about some old video games that I loved and that I played so long ago, but definitely one won a place in my good memories. Guess which one?
Intro Pokemon Stadium 1
El primer Pokemon Stadium fue un clásico del Nintendo 64 lanzado en abril del 2000, año en que el “Niño JesĂşs” lo trajo a mi casa y que despuĂ©s no lo dejĂ© descansar por 5 años consecutivos y luego fue más esporádico cuando jugaba con Ă©l. Actualmente -wow- tenĂa como 10 años sin jugarlo, pero en honor a esos buenos recuerdos tuve que conectar el Nintendo 64 de mi novio y ¡Jugar!
Pokemon Stadium 1 was a classic for Nintendo 64 release in April 2000, the year when “Baby Jesus” brought it to my home and I didn't let it rest for the next 5 years and then was less and less when I played with it. Today -wow- I had almost 10 years without playing this game, but in honor of all those good memories I have to connect my boyfriend's Nintendo 64 and Play!
En este juego se libran batallas Pokemon 3D en el estadio contra la computadora, los lĂderes de gym (en el castillo de gimnasio) o tus amigos (en las batallas libres) -que era la parte que más disfrutaba-. Es como tener de verdad a tus Pokemon con movimientos y ataques muy reales que te dejan alucinando, y cuando caen vencidos realmente sientes su dolor. Tiene la opciĂłn de usar el transfer pack para incorporar a tu equipo de pokemon de GameBoy color de los juegos de Pokemon azul, rojo o amarillo; y poder jugar con ellos y subirlos de nivel dentro del juego, tambiĂ©n puedes continuar tu modo historia en la pantalla grande y era mucho más cĂłmodo y podĂas jugar de noche tranquilamente ;). (Si jugaste ocn un gameboy sabes a lo que me refiero)
On this game are 3D Pokemon's in the stadium against the computer, with leader's gym (on gym castle section) or with your friends (on free battle section) -this is the fun part-. It is like having your real Pokemon with real movements and attacks that leave you hallucinating, and when they fall defeated you really can feel their pain. Also the game have the option to use a transfer pack to incorporate your Pokemon team from your GameBoy color games: Blue, Yellow and Red; and you can play with them, leveling up inside the game. And in another section of the map you can continue the adventure mode on the big screen and be able to play with no problem at night ;). (If you play with a gameboy you know what I mean)
En fin, tiene varias modalidades o secciones pero la secciĂłn que más me encanta, tanto de Pokemon Stadium 1 como el 2, es el “Kids Club” o los mini juegos donde podĂa pasar rato retándome a mĂ misma y me divertĂa por horas con todo un grupo de amigos para sacar las mejores puntuaciones, ganar la mayor cantidad de estrellas y ser "El campeĂłn", era sumamente divertido y pasábamos muy buenas ratos en el modo difĂcil (siendo unos niños era como nivel Dios).
In short, it has few modalities or sections but the one I loved the most, both from Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2, is the "Kids Club" or minigames where I can pass a lot of time challenging myself and having so much fun with my group of friends to have the better score, to earn most stars and be "The Champion". It was extremely fun and we past a lot of good times in the hard mode (being a bunch of children it was like God mode).
Ahora que volvĂ a jugar la sigo pasando muy bien. Con mi novio nos lanzamos un torneo de 5 estrellas y nos reĂmos muchĂsimo mientras redescubriamos el juego.
Now that I come to play again I'm still having a good time. With my boyfriend we started a champion league of 5 stars and we laughed a lot since we were rediscovering the game.
Pokemon Stadium 1 tiene 9 minijuegos y Ă©ste serĂa mi top extrapersonal del que menos me gusta a mĂ favorito:

#9 "Guerra de ronquidos", de Drowzee:
Debes lanzar Hipnosis a un péndulo cuando esté en el centro para evitar quedarse dormido, el último en pie gana.
Este juego en particular me generaba (genera) estrés, pero era super bueno jugarlo con los demás porque comenzabas a hablarles y se desconcentra. Creo que si lo he ganado 2 veces ha sido mucho.
#9 “"Snor war", Drowzee:
You have to used Hypnosis to a moving pendulum when this is in the center and avoid to fall asleep, the last stand wins
This game in particular generated (in past and present) stress, but it is very fun to play it with a group because you would start to talk and deconcentrate them.
#8 “Salpicadura de Magikarp”: debe pulsar A en el momento que toca el suelo y el que tenga más saltos en el contador gana.
Como los magikarp para mi… no era tan entretenido, al tomarle el ritmo logras saltar bastante rápido y dejar a los demás atrás.
#8 “Magikarp's Splash”: You have to push A in the moment the magikarp touches the floor and the one who has more jumps (or splash) on the counter wins.
Like Magikarp’s to me… it wasn’t so entertaining, when you catch the rythm you can jump very fast and leave others behind.
#7 “¡A por el sushi!” de Lickitung: debes comer una serie de platos con distinto valor que te va dando más dinero, al comer del mismo plato varias veces puedes aumentar el combo.
Este juego me parecĂa hiper difĂcil, manejar al Lickitung más estar pendiente del dinero y no comer el plato feo y barato, y tambiĂ©n golpeandote con los otros, muy complicado pero divertido al final cuando aprendes a jugar (y ciertamente ya se me olvidĂł, no estuve ni cerca de ganar alguna… jajaja)
#7 “Sushi-Go-Round” of Lickitung: you have to eat a series plates of different prices and win money, eating the same plate several times can increase the combo.
This game seemed hyper difficult to me, controling the Lickiting, be aware of money and don’t eat the ugly and cheap , also hitting with the other players, It was very difficult but fun in the end when you learn to play it (and I certainly already forgot how to play it, I don’t even chance a chance to win… jajaja)
#6 “Anillos de Ekans”: tomas los Ekans que son los aros y los debes lanzar a los Diglett para rodearlos e ir sumando puntos durante 60 segundos, el que tenga mayor puntuación gana. Hay Digglets normales que valen 1 punto y los dorados que valen 3.
Era muy mala con este juego al principio, pero como buen entrenador Pokemon no me di por vencida hasta lograr atrapar a todos los Diglett y que no se me escapara ni siquiera el dorado. Realmente es muy divertido y te sientes muy torpe cuando fallas...
#6 “Ekans' Hoop Hurl”: you control the Ekans that are the Hoops and you have to toss them around the Diglett to be adding points for 60 seconds, who reach the highest score win. There are normal Digletts that cost 1 point and gold ones that cost 3 points.
I was very bad in this game but like a good pokemon trainer I never give up until I could catch all the Digletts and not lose any, not even the golden one. It is really really fun and when you miss one you feel very clumsy.
#5 “Duro como una roca” de Metapod y Kakuna: debes usar Fortaleza (presionando A) cuando caen las rocas para que no te hagan daño, pero tambiĂ©n perdĂas un poco de salud mientras usabas el poder asĂ que debĂa ser muy preciso. El truco era escuchar los cañones y repetir el patrĂłn justo cuando la sombra se acercaba a tu Pokemon.
Después de que le agarras el truco a este juego era super sencillo, me mantiene súper alerta y me da mucha risa cuando queda aplastadito.
#5 Rock Harden with Metapod y Kakuna: You have to use Harden (pushing A) when the rocks drop over to avoid taking damage, but also you lose stamina when you use the power so you must use it very precisely. The trick was hearing the cannons and repeating the pattern just when the rock’s shadows approached your Pokemon.
When you understand the trick this game is very simple, keeps me super alert and it makes me laugh when they get crushed.
#4 “Dinamo de trueno” de Pikachu y Voltorb: debes llenar un generador eléctrico presionando A o B rápidamente según el color del generador con el del botón, el primero en llenarlo gana.
Como todas las pruebas de push, este me gustaba bastante pero a veces se me olvidaba cambiar de botón jeje…
#4 “Thundering Dynamo” with Pikachu and Voltorb: you got to charge up the electric generator pushing A or B repeatedly according to the color in the generator, the first to charge it up wins.
Like others push tests, this is one that I like so much but sometimes I forgot to change the bottom jejeje...
#3 “¡Corre, Rattata, corre!”: simple una carrera saltando obstáculos, el primero que llegue a la meta gana.
No se puede decir más, es una locura esta carrera de obstáculos la pasábamos buenĂsimo con estas pobres rattatas explotadas por tanto correr.
#3 “Run, Rattata, Run”: simply, jumping an obstacle race, the first to reach the finish line wins.
Nothing more to say, it is a crazy obstacle race and we had a very good time with those poor and exploited Rattatas.
#2 “Clefairy dice...”: es un simĂłn dice pero con Clefairy, la profesora daba unos movimientos y las alumnas debĂan recordarlo y repetirlo, si te equivocabas te golpeaba con un chipote chillĂłn y perdĂas vida hasta quedar llorando en el piso y fuera del juego, la que queda con mayor barra de vida cuando se acababa el pizarrĂłn gana.
Este juego era en extremo difĂcil y necesitas demasiada concentraciĂłn para recordar todas las flechitas, pero me encanta la animaciĂłn, la canciĂłn mientras hacen la revisiĂłn y es más que gratificante quedar de pie al final.
#2 “Clefairy Says…”: It is a Simon says but with Clefairy, the teacher put some moves and the student must remember and repeat it, if you do some wrong move she hit you with a rubber hammer and lost stamina until you were crying on the floor and out of the game, the one with more stamina when the blackboard was over wins.
This game was extremely difficult and you need a lot of concentration to remember all the arrows, but I love the animation, the song since they are in the board review and are more than gratifying when you are the one standing on the end.
#1 ¡Cava! ¡Cava! ¡Cava! de Sandshrew: unos Sandshrew excavan presionando L y R alternadamente hasta encontrar un géiser, el que lo logre primero gana.
Este definitivamente es mi favorito, es un minijuego muy sencillo pero tenĂa un no sĂ© quĂ© que me encanta. El truco está en llevar el ritmo del movimiento con tu Sandshrew, me gustaba experimentar quĂ© tan rápido podĂa excavar.
#1 “Dig! Dig! Dig!” with Sandshrew: The Sandshrew dig tapping L and R alternately until he finds a geiser, who finds it first wins.
Definitely this is my favorite, it is an easy minigame but it has an “I don’t know what” that I really love. The trick is to keep up with your Sandshrew movement, I liked to experience how fast he can dig.
Tardé un poco pero de verdad la pasé muy bien pensando en cómo armar este post. Me gustó poder compartir con esta comunidad, el recordar aquellos tiempos cuando éramos pequeños y lo que más disfruté fue haber jugado nuevamente con el Nintendo 64. It took awhile but I really have a good time thinking about how to make this post. I love to share with this community, to remember the time when we all are young and the thing that I love the most was to play again Nintendo 64.
