Today's Local Coin Shop Find 9/25/2021

Most Silver Generic Rounds are a good way to accrue a stack of Silver Wealth at a reasonable price. The neighborhood, Local Coin Shop, has an area for lower priced Silver Generics. Occasionally, better, but mishandled bullion coins end up mixed in with these cheaper examples. I spotted a few of my favorites and immediately jumped on them, at $27 each:

They are Silver Somalia Elephants, of the African Wildlife Series. The Silver Somalian African Elephant Series, produced by the Bavarian State Mint, of Germany, began in 2004. With a final mintage number of only 5,000 strikes, the prices quickly escalated. It took about five years for the mintage to jump to the one hundred thousand range, still a low number, when compared to the American Silver Eagle's lowest mintage of almost four million and highest of 47 million.

I like the way the series changes the Elephants' scenes, every year. In 2016, the silver coin's went from three nines pure to four nines or 99.99% pure Silver. A couple of them are blemished, but still an ounce of Silver Troy. And yes, they make a spectacular Gold Series, too. Thanks for looking and stack them if you like them. I check Coins in #silvergoldstackers.
