It's a great time for summer memories ...
... days are cold and pretty short, so a walk through a pile of sunny old pictures can bring some warmth from the recent past.
This post has started with the moon, because this double photograph looks catchy, ideal for the opening picture ... but ...
... now will continue with the sun ...
... with the sun on its way down ...
... and a friend of mine who tried to catch the elusive yellow light.
I took these shots in 2016 ...
... at the end of a long summer day ...
... one of the first days of July ...
... as the sun was going down ...
... and the moon was climbing up ....
... just like this Armadillidium pill bug ...
... that ended up high on the ear of grass.
This ground beetle was climbing along the high thistle plant ...
... and on dry straw of grass, I found some interesting, precisely aligned eggs.
The common grass looked very special and beautiful ...
... and I caught some spiders in the last outburst of golden light.
The sun disappeared behind some distant meadows ...
... the atmosphere was rapidly changing ...
... getting deep and dark ...
... green and blue ...
... and these beautiful white flowers ...
... of the Clematis flammula plant that climbs along shrubs and other vegetation ...
... looked fantastic in that crepuscular ambiance.
Many white petals ...
... ended up in the large spider web below the flowers ...
... a web that looked a lot like a smaller version of one of those circus nets under the trapeze artists and wire walkers.
These are the flowers of the Knautia arvensis ... in various stages ...
... with these shots of my friend shooting some big dandelion ...
... is time to end this post ... as always in these memories on HIVE, the photographs are my work ... and this is a post for the #saturdaymemories initiative, initiated by @olga.maslievich, of course :)
