A great colony

Hi all... How are you today? Of course very fine

It looks normal in posture and is often found in various types, in any area it still exists, of course, in locations that have cold air temperatures, even though they can't stand hot temperatures

(Black ant queen)

That's one of the insect species that is often known by everyone from any circle. He is an ant and a seureungat.

Black ants are one of the insect species that often make us think more deeply about everything that comes from it, both in terms of behavior, cohesiveness, and for those who don't think about the existence of a figure who is often exalted as a leader who is always present in front of him, that is the queen.

πŸ¦— Lasius niger

Lasius niger or often called the black garden ant or some people also call it the ordinary black ant. While zoologists put it in the formicin ant, which belongs to the type or species of the Lasius subgenus. They are often in our area and probably in every area of your country. This L. niger, often seen in open areas, is especially important in areas with dense vegetation.

What you see in this picture, is one of the queens, which comes out of the nest when the rising tide covers the entire land as their main nest.

Incidentally in the last few days, or in the next few days, the tide will still continue to rise to some of the land, this is influenced by one of the natural changes, such as entering the full moon.

Coinciding with entering the full moon, then some of the land area in our region will be filled with high water based on the rotation of the moon child.

This is known because, each ant colony that dominates the initial area also moves to find a dry location (soil that does not reach water). While another group of ants, had left the nest earlier, I myself saw their movement in the colony in an elongated form of traveling like a marching army, while today's new queen was seen standing on a weed branch as shown in the picture.

I myself, don't know why this ant queen, was seen alone at the location mentioned above. In general they will be in a hole in the ground to do an important job that often occurs in a colony.

It is very often seen that the colony always avoids human confrontation, when someone does certain activities, in the morning they will come out of the nest in groups to a location where there is food, before the colony moves first, one of the officer ants first opens the way, looking for the location of the point, food, and looking for a decent point to be temporarily occupied. When tracer ants find something they are looking for, they will tell the colony their own way. So that automatically the colonies immediately move by sniffing the scent left by the ants that first moved.

So it's not surprising, when we see each of these black ants, they always look like people shaking hands when they meet each other. This is done with the aim that the aroma carried by the officer ants is always detected and detected on an ongoing basis.

If members of the colony always follow the direction of the smell, whether it's the smell of the food location or the scent of the nest location brought by the officer ants, then the colony members will not get lost, but unexpected things will happen if the colony members ignore this. Consequently or consequently will be separated from the colony. Therefore we also see an ant or several ants separated from the colony as a result of ignoring this.

Although they have eyes, they often rely on the sense of smell when they want to react, and this is also often done by other insect species in everyday life in a location.

Sometimes part of this colony will also get lost when running from a very scary human confrontation, so separated from the herd, sometimes they will meet again in the colony when the officer ants reopen the path taken (meet by accident) then the separated ants will rejoin as before.

Queen ants also have certain advantages in their bodies, one of which is having wings, able to fly even at close range, but they feel the wings will separate from their bodies when faced with certain situations or actions.

The queen ant is able to produce so many eggs that they turn into small ants, zoologists have said in her writings that, she is able to lay about 40,000 eggs, which will then hatch and become worker ants, but the average is around 4,000-7,000. I myself once read one of the 9th grade biology books in junior high school which said that each queen of lasius niger can live up to about 15 years and some claim that some live up to 30 years. But I don't fully know about it myself, because the information is written in the student's prison book in the above class.

It is very interesting to see in the life of ants and colonies, this is a very great life that comes from nature itself, it turns out that nature has many extraordinary and sometimes happening things around us, even many great and extraordinary things that usually happen in colonies-ant. We will convey the greatness in the next post and of course here on hive.blog.
