Sería complicado discernir cuánto tiempo ha pasado desde el último certamen si no tuviese un registro lineal al cual llamamos calendario. Es siempre gratificante retomar algunas viejas sendas que, por contradictorio que suenen, renuevan el espíritu. En esta ocasión de Haiku inglés - español, hay una imagen con una puerta/portal/entrada, dependiendo de como se quiera ver; y este hecho, de un lugar marcando una frontera junto a otro pero con una apertura que nos invita a atravesarla, incita a la imaginación a cualquier cantidad de tópicos. En mi caso, quizá ya como una marcada costumbre en mí, hago algo de énfasis en el espíritu de cada ser. Aunque el Haiku fue escrito en español, mi lengua madre, dejaré una traducción al inglés lo más precisa que pueda.

It would be difficult to discern how much time has passed since the last competition if it did not have a linear record which we call a calendar. It is always gratifying to take up some old paths that, however contradictory they may sound, renew the spirit. In this occasion of English-Spanish Haiku, there is an image with a door/portal/entry, depending on what you want to see; and this fact, of a place marking a border next to another but with an opening, inviting us to cross, gives the imagination to refer to any variety of topics. In my case, perhaps already as a marked habit in me, I make some emphasis on the spirit of each one. Although the Haiku was written in Spanish, my mother language, I'll try to write an english translation as accurate as i can.
