Hola amigos de HIve, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes las imágenes de un insecto muy curioso que encontré flotando sobre el agua donde beben las aves, este pequeño insecto parecía muerto, pero la lógica que aplico es que si flota todavía tiene oxígeno y puede respirar, ya que los insectos respiran a través de unos orificios distribuidos en todos su cuerpo.
Hi friends from Hive, today I want to share with you the images of a very interesting insect that I found floating on the water where birds drink, this little insect seemed dead, the logic that I apply is that if it floats it still has oxygen and can breathe since insects breathe through holes distributed throughout its body.
De manera que extraje este insecto del agua y lo coloqué una zona seca y libre de otros insectos depredadores como hormigas, y lo dejé allí durante unos 20 minutos, pasado ese tiempo empezó a realizar leves movimientos. Luego lo trasladé sobre una tapa de recipiente para tomar fotografías más claras, sin embargo, el color y brillo del plástico no me permitieron tomar buenas fotografías, asi que hice un video, de cuando apenas estaba empezando a recuperar la movilidad.
So I took this insect out of the water and placed it in a dry area free of other predatory insects such as ants, and left it there for about 20 minutes, after which time it began to make slight movements. Then I moved it on a container lid to take clearer pictures, however the color and brightness of the plastic did not allow me to take good pictures, so I made a video, when it was just beginning to recover its mobility.

Una vez que recuperó su movilidad al 100% lo trasladé sobre una hoja de las plantas del jardín, sin embargo sus alas aún permanecían húmedas y no podía levantar vuelo, sobre esta hoja permaneció aproximadamente 1 hora, limpiadose su cuerpo con sus patas y esperando a que sus alas se secasen, pasado este tiempo repentinamente levantó vuelo y se fue. A continuación un corto video que tomé del insecto.
Once it recovered it's mobility to 100% I moved it on a leaf of the plants in the garden, however its wings were still wet and it could not take flight, on this leaf it remained approximately 1 hour, cleaningits body with its legs and waiting for its wings to dry, after this time it suddenly took flight and left. Below is a short video I took of the insect.

After this, I gave myself the task of investigating what kind of animal it was, It was evidently a fly, because of its red eyes, the shape of its head, and the trunk-like appendage on its head, just like a fly's, but it was noticeably more elongated and long-legged.
Buscando en internet pude descubrir que se trata de una mosca denominada como Diptera Micropezidae , conocida comúnmente como moscas patilargas, según Wikipedia existen unas 500 especies en 54 géneros y 5 subfamilias, y algunas especies tienen un mimetismo y se asemejan a las avispas Ichneumonidae. Normalmente se alimentan de otros insectos más pequeños y también son atraídos por excrementos y frutas descompuestas.
Searching the internet I was able to discover that it is a fly named as Diptera Micropezidae , according to Wikipedia there are about 500 species in 54 genera and 5 subfamilies, and some species have a mimicry and resemble Ichneumonidae wasps. They usually feed on other smaller insects and are also attracted to excrement and decaying fruit.
