Cuando llega el otoño es muy típico en España o por lo menos en Andalucía ir a pasear al campo y recoger el fruto de este precioso árbol. El fruto del madroño no se cultiva de manera intensiva para venderse. No se encuentra en mercados por lo que si se quiere comer hay que pasear y buscar alguna arboleda y recoger los frutos maduros.
