Building Flames

The Fire Splinter is really powerful, and it doesn't really NEED to be upgraded to get you to Silver, but if you really wanna jump fast, Fire is a great set to upgrade, because it has a lot of options. Keep in mind that this does not include Goblin Shaman, which is mentioned in a previous article. Be sure to keep that card in mind when renting, buying, and upgrading. But here's 5 other cards that will up your Fire game with an upgrade or two ;)

#1 Serpentine Spy

With an Upgrade of +1 Speed at Level 2, and +1 HP at Level 3, this card actually benefits hugely from additional health, because it means it can now more easily dodge the Opportunity Attackers.

Serpentine Spy is about $3 at the time of writing, per BCX

#2 Kobold Miner

At Level 2 Kobold Miner gains +1 Speed, and at Level 3, it gets a nice juicy +1 Melee, which is extremely useful for a back attack. Paired together at Level 3, Serpentine Spy and Kobold Miner become a very powerful back attack combo for just 5 Mana!

Kobold is a more expensive one on this list, at 6.25 per BCX

#3 Ettin Spearman

He gains +1 Speed at Level 2, and at Level 3, he gains piercing, making him an effective anti-armor ranged attacker! Bonus points for being very cheap to rent.

Ettin Spearman costs about $1.31 per BCX

#4 Living Lava

With +1 HP for each Level, this makes Living Lava even more difficult to kill, making him an even better anti-melee tank, and because it's health, it makes him an even better tank against Magic as well. With how expensive Cerberus is, this will likely be the tank you want to upgrade first.

Living Lava costs about $5 per BCX currently.

#5 Fire Beetle

+1 Health and +1 Range on a cheap sniper = Good. Fire Beetle isn't a card I personally use that often, but for a new player looking to get a good boost in Fire at Level 2 or 3, Beetle takes the cake. He definitely falls behind as you start to level beyond this.

Fire Beetle is 4.42 per BCX currently. This card is infinitely more useful if you are renting Yodin.
