Do you remember the previous post where I told you that I had a new discovery in my garden? Well, yes! Beans and peppers, I start by telling you how I discovered the beans, it's something I couldn't believe! Checking a beautiful Trinitaria plant with flowers with mixed colors between white, beige, and fuchsia I saw a stem and a different little flower and I thought **What could it be?

That little stem with that little flower extends very long, it looks like a red wire and I keep thinking: Well, where did this wire come from? **I don't remember this one! Then I saw something green and I thought it was a lizard hahaha, to my surprise in the middle of that "cable" there was like a long cartridge better known as a bean pod.

What are beans?

Legumes are super packed with nutrients. According to them, they are low in calories, but they make you feel full. The body uses the carbohydrates in legumes slowly, over time, providing steady energy for the body, brain, and nervous system. Consuming more legumes as part of a healthy diet can help lower blood sugar, blood pressure, heart rate, and other heart disease and diabetes risks, so at least once a week I prepare them for a balanced diet.

The joy continues to grow

Because it turns out and it happens that some peppers have been born where you least expect it, in a small palm tree! I had sown seeds in another place, but they are born where they want, as we fertilize the plants with the waste left over from the vegetables and vegetables we use in our meals, it strengthens the soil compost and that is why peppers, beans, and cherry tomatoes can be seen in any unsuspected place if you want to.

I have an anecdote that I will never forget, I was in a forum of Venezuelan gastronomy in the framework of the International Tourism Fair in the beautiful state of Barinas in 2014, there was a competition between two great academic institutions of the country exclusively of the art of cooking Hotel Escuela de Los Andes better known as CUHELAV against Asochef de Barinas, the participants had to present a dish invented right there and explain to the judges who are recognized chefs of our country in detail what they were presenting:

Name of the dish and why it was called that way, ingredients, preparation, what kind of cut the meat had and what kind of knife was used for the cut, just to mention as an example some of the varied questions that were asked in order to measure the capacity of development and knowledge of the person, to which, in the nerves, one of the participants forgot what to say, he was asked **What is the main touch of any meal? ** The aspiring chef in question did not remember at the time, he was asked about twice and we, the audience did not know what to do to help him see us, he was looking at the floor looking for an answer until his mind lit up and he said out loud that resounded throughout the auditorium: "The chili!

The chili!

Laughter was not long in coming, we all breathed a sigh of relief that he had finally answered.

Here is a recipe for Bayo bean soup my way, @yenmendt style.

INGREDIENTS

1.- Beans
2.- Chopped onion
3.- Sweet chili
4.- Paprika
5.- Garlic
6.- Potato, carrot
7.- Salt and cumin to taste.
8.- Chunks of chicken or meat, also chicharrón, it is optional to the taste of the starter.

1.- PREPARATION: I leave the beans soaking the night before so that the next day after breakfast I can start cooking them and have everything ready early in the morning! I usually use a cup of beans, not too much. When I am in a hurry I add all the rest of the ingredients at once and when it is boiling I add the cumin and a little more salt if needed, when I am not in a hurry then I make everything nice as it should be, the beans get softer as time goes by in the heat of the fire, I fry apart the seasonings such as onion, chili, paprika, sometimes I add ham or pieces of meat that I have ready from a previous preparation, I put it at the end when it is almost ready and I season it a little more if I add more water.

By the way, a person very dear to me, some time ago told me that to feel better in health, restore collagen in the skin I should add to my stews, juices and other inventions a mini teaspoon of unflavored gelatin powder, I started to do it this week to see how it goes, so I open debate: Do you recommend it? I read you

Do you know what is the most gratifying thing?

Sharing a good table with your loved ones, with your unexpected guests, it is a joy to know that it was good and they liked it, a tasty conversation of those unforgettable ones that remain for the memory.

come frutas y verduras
tendrás una gran salud

Empieza a disfrutar
desayuna bien y fuerte
lo más importante es
una energía potente

No te dañes con bebidas
serás muy inteligente
importante también es
el mundo de la higiene

Lávate bien las manos
y las bacterias previenes
por último duerme bien
ni cinco horas ni veinte.

Escucha bien este poema
y serás muy inteligente.

And to finish I leave you a great poem that I thought was appropriate:

THE BEST GOAL:

You will have a healthy life
if you do sports yourself
<eat fruits and vegetables
you will have great health

Start enjoying yourself
have a good and strong breakfast
the most important thing is
a powerful energy

Don't harm yourself with drinks
you will be very smart
important is also
the world of hygiene

Wash your hands well
and prevent bacteria
lastly, get a good night's sleep
neither five hours nor twenty.

Listen well to this poem
and you will be very intelligent.
