Hello creative friends from #HiveDiy !!! I hope you have a great week. Today I am going to share with you a cake topper that I made for my nephew who turned 8 yesterday. As he is a huge fan of Plants vs Zombies, I decided to make these characters separately so that later I can also play with them.
Hola amigos creativos de #HiveDiy!!! Espero que tengan una excelente semana. Hoy les voy a compartir un adorno de torta que hice para mí sobrino que cumplió 8 años el día de ayer. Como es muy fanático de Plantas vs Zombies decidí hacer estos personajes por separado para que después pueda también jugar con ellos.

Cut small circles of Styrofoam, stretch cold green porcelain. Put vinyl glue on the circle and stick on the dough. Remove the surplus. Repeat the step to cover everything. Texture with the brush.
For the pot, make a ball, give it an almost triangular shape, flatten up and down, roll out the dough and cut a rectangle. Glue on the widest edge of the pot.
Cortar pequeños círculos de telgopor, estirar porcelana fría color verde. Poner cola vinilica al círculo y pegar en la masa. Quitar el excedente. Repetir el paso para cubrir todo. Texturar con el cepillo.
Para la maceta hacer una bolita, dar forma casi triangular, aplanar arriba y abajo, estirar masa y cortar un rectángulo. Pegar en el borde más ancho de la maceta.
For the stem cut pieces of skewer sticks, roll out cold porcelain, cut a rectangle and cover. Remove the surplus.
For the leaves, make balls, give a teardrop shape and flatten. Mark the ribs.
Para el tallo cortar trozos de palitos de brochette, estirar porcelana fría, cortar un rectángulo y cubrir. Quitar el excedente.
Para las hojas hacer bolitas, dar forma de lágrima y aplanar. Marcar las nervaduras.
To make the Hiela peas from a light blue ball of dough (it must be half the size of the styrofoam sphere), insert the sphere and close. For the mouth (I think that is not the correct way to say it) make a ball, shape into a cone, hollow out and fill with a little piece of black dough. Glue with vinyl glue, on the back of the head stick some small triangles.
For the Peashooter, repeat the steps but using green dough and glue a leaf on the back of the head.
Para hacer el Hielaguisantes partir de una bolita de masa color celeste (tiene que tener la mitad del tamaño de la esfera de telgopor), introducir la esfera y cerrar. Para la boca (creo que no es la forma correcta de decirlo) hacer una bolita, dar forma de cono, ahuecar y rellenar con un pedacito de masa negra. Pegar con cola vinilica, en la parte de atrás de la cabeza pegar unos pequeños triángulos.
Para el Lanzaguisantes repetir los pasos pero usando masa color verde y en la parte de atrás de la cabeza pegar una hoja.
For the Carrion Plant, make a purple ball, shape into a cylinder, cut from side to side and open to form the mouth.
For the tongue, make a pink ball, shape an elongated tear, flatten and mark in the middle.
Make a green lip roll.
Repeat the step of the stem but in violet color.
Make small white cones for the teeth.
Join with vinyl glue, add some cones on the top of the head and some small pink spots.
Para la Planta Carroñivora hacer una bolita color violeta, dar forma de cilindro, hacer un corte de lado a lado y abrir para formar la boca.
Para la lengua hacer una bolita color rosado, dar forma de lágrima alargada, aplanar y marcar en el medio.
Hacer un rollo color verde para los labios.
Repetir el paso del tallo pero en color violeta.
Hacer pequeños conos blancos para los dientes.
Unir con cola vinilica, agregar unos conos en la parte superior de la cabeza y unas pequeñas manchas color rosado.
For the Sunflower, make an orange ball, at the ends shape it into a point and flatten.
For the petals, make yellow balls, form tears, flatten and remove a portion at the bottom.
Repeat the step for the stem and leaves.
Para el Girasol hacer una bolita color anaranjado, en los extremos dar forma de punta y aplanar.
Para los pétalos hacer bolitas amarillas, formar lágrimas, aplanar y quitar una porción en la parte inferior.
Repetir el paso del tallo y las hojas.
Paint the eyes with acrylics or markers.
For this post I took photos with my Samsung Galaxy j4 cell phone and used the Collage Marker app and Google translator.
This is how these nice characters are finished, I hope you like it because my nephew loved them !!!
