|ESP-ENG| Spring /Spring cushion with ribbon flowers

Greetings to all the creative community of @hivediy, again delighted to share my post for this week's contest with a motif that fascinates me: spring, flowers. I invite paola to join the contest.

This time, I bring flowers made with ribbons. It is a simple and easy technique to do, we only need a little concentration and skill to make the flowers look nice.

I made three little flowers for the lining of a cushion with which I decorated my furniture in the living room.

Los materiales a utilizar son:
  • Cintas de colores
  • Tijeras
  • Alfileres
  • Hilo
  • Agujas
  • Cartón de 3cms.
The materials to be used are:
  • Colored ribbons
  • Scissors
  • Pins
  • Thread
  • Needles
  • 3 cm. cardboard.

The procedure is very easy. I used 1/2 meter of ribbon to make the small flowers, if you want them bigger, then you can increase the amount of ribbon. To begin, take one end of the ribbon and fold it inwards, fasten it with the pin (in the photo with the purple ribbon it looks better), then help yourself with the cardboard to measure 3cms and fold it again, and so on, successively, along the ribbon always towards the front.

After we have all the folds every 3 cms. fastened with the pins, we proceed to bastear by the upper edge so that we can ruffle as shown in the pictures, as we are giving stitches, we remove the pins. We ruffle and hold tightly to sew underneath what will be the little flower. When we see that it is well sewn, we turn it over, adjust the shape, and put a half pearl in the center for the final touch.

To decorate the cushion lining with the little flowers, I embroidered a chain stitch that simulates the twigs and leaves of this bouquet. Then, I sewed the flowers and that's it!
