Comparto mi participación para esta semana en el New Contest: Rhinestones and costume jewelry, que se ha convertido en mi concurso favorito de la blockchain. Me complace encontrar un nuevo reto para pensar en lo que voy a crear, además, es un momento que me encanta procurarme por el estado de tranquilidad y paz en el que me sumerjo, mientras hago con mis manos y mi cariño lo que les muestro.
I share my entry for this week in the New Contest: Rhinestones and costume jewelry, which has become my favorite contest on the blockchain. I am pleased to find a new challenge to think about what I am going to create, besides, it is a moment that I love to procure myself for the state of tranquility and peace in which I immerse myself, while I make with my hands and my love what I show you.
Esta semana la bisutería y las priedras preciosas de imitación son las protagonistas. Así que material tengo suficiente por dos razones: Una: soy fanática de los collares y pulseras y en mi haber tengo muchos, y de los que se dañaron guardo las piedritas y cristales; y dos: me encanta hacer pulseras y junto a mi hija tengo un emprendimiento de pulseras tejidas que por ahora está en pausa. Por esto, se me ocurrió intervenir un disco compacto con diseño de mandala hecho con bisutería reciclada que puede servir como un móvil o adorno de pared. Sin más, les dejo los materiales que usé y el paso a paso. Espero que les guste y que se animen a hacer uno para sus hogares, seguro tendrán material por ahí, creo que a todas se nos ha dañado un collar alguna vez.
This week costume jewelry and imitation precious stones are the protagonists. So I have enough material for two reasons: One: I am a fan of necklaces and bracelets and I have a lot of them, and I keep the stones and crystals from the damaged ones; and two: I love making bracelets and together with my daughter I have a woven bracelet project that is on pause for now. For this reason, I came up with the idea of making a compact disc with a mandala design made with recycled costume jewelry that can be used as a mobile or wall decoration. Without further ado, I leave you the materials I used and the step by step. I hope you like it and that you are encouraged to make one for your home, I'm sure you have material out there, I think we all have damaged a necklace at some time.

El primer paso es limpiar muy bien el disco y darle unas manos de pintura como base. Yo le dí tres para que quedara bien cubierto. Dejar secar y luego, pintar con el color que hayamos escogido para nuestro mandala.
The first step is to clean the disc very well and give it a few coats of paint as a base. I gave it three coats so that it would be well covered. Let it dry and then paint with the color we have chosen for our mandala.
Mientras se secaba la pintura en el disco. Hice el diseño que quería plasmar en él en un papel, de acuerdo con el material escogido. Fui poniendo piedritas y detalles para tener la idea de cómo quedaría mi móvil mandala. Esta es una sugerencia que dejo para que al momento de pegar sepan dónde lo van a hacer porque como estaremos trabajando con silicón caliente, cuando se pega es mejor no quitarlo porque el trabajo no queda limpio.
While the paint was drying on the disk. I made the design I wanted to put on it on a piece of paper, according to the chosen material. I put pebbles and details to get the idea of how my mandala mobile would look like. This is a suggestion that I leave so that at the moment of gluing you know where you are going to do it because as we will be working with hot silicone, when gluing it is better not to remove it because the work is not clean.
Luego de que se haya secado la pintura, comienza el trabajo creativo definitivo. Pegué en el centro una flor y a partir de allí, pegué cristales haciendo florecitas, pegué mostacillas para hacer las líneas divisorias.
After the paint has dried, the final creative work begins. I glued a flower in the center and from there, I glued crystals making little flowers, I glued beads to make the dividing lines.
Para terminar, pegué por el borde una tira de diamantes y perlitas que le dieron un toque de brillo perfecto. Con este detalle terminé mi proyecto, pero les confieso que debí pegarlo primero, pues algunas florecitas me quedaron muy al borde y se me hizo difícil pegarlos.
