Saludo con cariño a toda la comunidad creativa de @hivediy. Presento por acá mi participación para el concurso de esta semana Cardboard World. El proyecto es una mini piñata para mi sobrina Nicole, como ya les he contado, ella cumple años el 24 de este mes y ya he venido haciendo algunos detallitos para su celebración, algunos los he compartido en la comunidad en general y en este concurso en particular.
Warmest greetings to the entire creative community of @hivediy. I present here my entry for this week's contest Cardboard World. The project is a mini piñata for my niece Nicole, as I have already told you, she has her birthday on the 24th of this month and I have already been making some little details for her celebration, some of them I have shared in the community in general and in this contest in particular.
Esta mini piñata fue la primera idea que se me ocurrió para mi participación al concurso de la semana anterior, pero no me daban los tiempos para terminarla antes de que finalizara el concurso y por eso, participé con los regalitos de salida. Asà que dejé la piñata para hacerla con más calma. Cuando vi que el tema de este era mundo de cartón, de inmediato agradecà haberla dejado pendiente. Asà pues, vamos a la acción y al paso a paso de esta minipiñatita para mi Nicole.
This mini piñata was the first idea that came to my mind for my participation in last week's contest, but I didn't have time to finish it before the end of the contest and that's why I participated with the first gifts. So I left the piñata to do it more calmly. When I saw that the theme of this one was cardboard world, I was immediately grateful for having left it pending. So, let's get to the action and the step by step of this mini piñata for my Nicole.

Nueve son los añitos que cumplirá Nicole, asà que dibujé con lápiz el número 9 en el cartón de la caja para hacer la piñatita. Luego lo recorté y lo remarqué para sacar otro 9 que servirá para la parte de atrás. Estas serán las dos partes, una delantera y otra trasera de la piñata.
Nine is Nicole's birthday, so I drew the number 9 in pencil on the cardboard of the box to make the piñatita. Then I cut it out and outlined it to draw another 9 that will be used for the back. These will be the two parts, one front and one back of the piñata.
De una carpeta vieja saqué unos listones con los que unà las dos tapas. Los fui engrapando cuidadosamente para que calzaran sin que se deformara la figura del nueve. Este procedimiento me resultó un poco tedioso porque no tengo la engrapadora adecuada, sin embargo, no dejé de intentarlo y lo logré.
From an old folder I took some strips with which I joined the two covers. I carefully stapled them together so that they would fit without deforming the figure of nine. This procedure was a bit tedious because I don't have the right stapler, but I kept trying and succeeded.
El siguiente paso es aplicarle una base a toda la piñatita armada. Para esto, rasgué pedacitos de hojas recicladas y preparé una mezcla de agua y pega, una especie de engrudo, para pegar todos los trocitos de papel y asà dejar empapelada la piñata.
The next step is to apply a base to the whole piñata. For this, I tore pieces of recycled leaves and prepared a mixture of water and glue, a kind of paste, to glue all the pieces of paper and thus leave the piñata papered.
A continuación me dispuse a diseñar las onditas con las que cubrirÃa todo el cuerpo del unicornio. Asà que marqué una lÃnea con la regla, tomando en consideración el ancho y el largo de la misma. Y con una tapa de una botella de refresco, marqué la circunferencia desde el incio hasta el final. Recorté por la lÃnea y luego recorté, con sumo cuidado, la parte de abajo del cÃrculo que hizo la tapa. El resultado queda como una bambalina con el borde en ondas. Recorté muchas, la verdad, no las conté, con ellas adorné la parte de adelante y la de atrás.
Next I set out to design the ripples with which I would cover the whole body of the unicorn. So I marked a line with the ruler, taking into consideration the width and length of the line. And with a soda bottle cap, I marked the circumference from the beginning to the end. I cut along the line and then carefully cut out the bottom part of the circle made by the lid. The result looks like a bambaline with a wavy edge. I cut out a lot of them, I didn't count them, I decorated the front and the back with them.
Algo que no les dije antes, el hueco que le habÃa hecho al número 9, lo tapé cuando le puse la base de papel porque me pareció que con toda esa parte completa, se verÃan mejor los elementos caracterÃsticos del unicornio, es decir, el cuerno, las orejitas,las flores y las pestañas. Ya tenÃa todo listo, asà que lo que venÃa a continuación era pegar cada cosa en su lugar. A este unicorio le hice las pestañas diferentes y le agregué unas mejillas rosadas que me parece que le dieron un toque más tierno.
Something I didn't tell you before, the hole I had made in the number 9, I covered it when I put the paper base because I thought that with all that part complete, the characteristic elements of the unicorn would be better seen, that is, the horn, the ears, the flowers and the eyelashes. I had everything ready, so the next step was to glue everything in its place. To this unicorn I made the eyelashes different and I added some pink cheeks that I think gave it a more tender touch.
Me parece que el resultado final quedó hermoso. Sé que a mi Nicolita le va a encantar. Se la voy a rellenar de juguetitos pequeños, colitas y otros detallitos, además de los caramelos.
I think the final result is beautiful. I know my Nicolita will love it. I'm going to fill it with little toys, tails and other little details, besides the candies.

Antes de terminar quiero agradecer a la comunidad porque cada semana es un nuevo reto y para mÃ, un reto personal porque me encanta crear, pero a veces me falta tiempo, asà que con este espacio, me he organizado un poco para hacer mi publicación del concurso y una que otra más y esto me hace muy feliz, y eso es ganancia. ¡Muchas gracias!
