Saludos a todos🌟, amigos de #Hive y #Nerday! En esta ocasión quisiera compartir con ustedes, este autorretrato que realicé hace unos días, en un momento de reflexión acerca de la situación que vivimos actualmente a nivel mundial con respecto a la pandemia por el covid-19. Es una situación que nos afecta a todos en nuestras vidas, en nuestro día a día, afecta tanto nuestra salud física como mental, y me gustaría invitarlos a un momento de reflexión acerca de lo frágil que puede llegar a ser la humanidad, si nos detenemos a ver las cosas desde otra perspectiva.

Greetings to all🌟, friends of #Hive and #Nerday! On this occasion, I would like to share with you this self-portrait that I made a few days ago, in a moment of reflection about the situation we are currently experiencing worldwide with respect to the covid-19 pandemic. It is a situation that affects us all in our lives, in our day to day, affects both our physical and mental health, and I would like to invite you to a moment of reflection about how fragile humanity can be, if we stop to see things from another perspective.

Recuerdo todos los planes y metas que tenía al comenzar el 2020, y en un principio todo transcurría bien y de manera tranquila. Sin embargo, un buen día todos nos despertamos con la noticia de este virus, sin saber todavía que nuestras vidas iban a cambiar de manera muy drástica en tan poco tiempo.

I remember all the plans and goals that I had at the beginning of 2020, and in the beginning everything was going well and calmly. However, a good day everyone woke up to the news of this virus, not yet knowing that our lives were going to change very dramatically in such a short time.

Sin embargo, como seres humanos, a través de la evolución hemos aprendido a adaptarnos a cualquier situación, por grave que sea, y esta no sería la excepción. Y es así como, a más de un año de haber empezado esta situación, creo que es momento de retomar todo lo planeado, todas las metas y sueños que tenemos por cumplir, y poco a poco ir cumpliéndolos, con los recursos y herramientas que tengamos a la mano. En tiempos de crisis, la imaginación y la creatividad debe aflorar por encima del intelecto y la razón.

However, as human beings, through evolution we have learned to adapt to any situation, however serious it is, and this would not be the exception. And this is how, more than a year after this situation began, I think it's time to resume everything we planned, all the goals and dreams that we have to fulfill, and little by little to be fulfilling them, with the resources and tools that we have. In times of crisis, imagination and creativity must emerge above the intellect and reason.

✏️Proceso General / General Process✏️

Para esta ilustración decidí realizarla a mano y solo utilizando lápiz de grafito, quería volver a los principios, a los aspectos más básicos del dibujo, para tratar de darle sentido a las ideas que se me pasaban por la mente, y poder expresar lo espontáneo y sencillos que podemos llegar a ser, cuando nos despojamos de todo lo que en realidad no importa tanto. Y es que durante este tiempo he podido darme cuenta de lo que realmente importa en esta vida, cosas como tener a tu familia completa, a tu lado, todos sanos y en unión, pasan a ser prioridad por sobre todas las cosas, y es algo que aprendí a valorar más.

For this illustration I decided to do it by hand and only using graphite pencil, I wanted to go back to the principles, to the most basic aspects of drawing, to try to make sense of the ideas that crossed my mind, and to be able to express the spontaneous and simple that we can become, when we shed everything that doesn't really matter that much. And it is that during this time I have been able to realize what really matters in this life, things like having your whole family, by your side, all healthy and in union, become a priority above all things, and it is something that I learned to value more.
