Everything is coming up roses

Hello friends,

Some parts of my yard are reserved for flowers. The largest part is occupied by colorful roses. These flowers attract a large number of different insects with their scent. Today I will share with you only a small part of the insects that regularly visit this corner of the yard.

Most of the time the usual visitors are different flies, honeybees, and rose aphids.

Rose aphids

There are sap-sucking insects that are commonly found on rosebuds.

Honey bees

Are collecting pollen from roses and other flowers.

Other flies are also present such as Sarcophaga carnaria and blue blowfly.

Mediterranian spotted chaffer is not a common visitor, but it can be seen on some flowers from time to time.

Trichodes apiarius is another uncommon visitor. I'm not sure if the flower from the first picture is devastated by this insect or it just continued where others ended. I hope that petals from the yellow rose won't be ripped apart like the white one.

There are also other insects that I am not able to identify.

Some insects just collect pollen and nectar while others are eating different parts.
