In our native language (Aceh) it is called Seurabee. When I was a child, I often saw it perched on the teplok lamp (a traditional lamp that uses kerosene fuel) in my house.
Seurabee or Ophion luteus is a species of wasp in the genus Ophioninae, belonging to the subfamily Ichneumonidae. It is most commonly found in tropical areas such as the Indonesian archipelago.
It has a length of about 1.5 inches, orange, two fairly long antennae, a long curved abdomen, and slender legs. It has a fairly venomous stinger in the tail which also functions as the laying of eggs (ovipositor). Often its abdomen is sticking up, it's a signal that you should be careful when approaching it.
