My farming practices is about to take a new turn as i want to shift the energy into livestock farming. previously I've been engaged in fishery and even poultry and now i want to expand by making more shelter for poultry birds,
So I'm making for cages to house about 500 broiler birds.

So I've decided to build a very big capacity cage this time.
Its a huge task, cost incurred projects and i'm literally putting all my earnings from #hive and other #cryptos into this. The dream is to establish a well known poultry house and to supply chicken to numerous outlets, homes, eatery and chicken lovers.

I went to the sawmill earlier to get the necessary planks, nets, nails, roofing sheet and other things.

What I'm doing is to erect a poultry cage on an existing building using the walls as the support, using different plank sizes; 2x3, 2x4 as the support for the roof and also the walls.

Nets were used at the front door and also at the window behind to allow air into the place and a canopy is fixed just to cover the openings incase the air becomes too much for the birds especially in this present weather, where it rains virtually everyday.

Below is some of the progress made with the first set of broilers i keep, now at 6 weeks old.
